I somehow completely missed the requirement of G325a Forms when I submitted my paperwork in June and am just discovering this now. Do you think there's anything I can/should do or do I just have to wait for an RFE? Or will it just be denied? This is terrible. I thought I had absolutely everything.

  • Itinerary and boarding passes (photocopy)
  • Passport copy (Copy of the biographical page and the page where there are stamps)
  • Explanation letter for using a Ukrainian passport, Signed and dated (When i visited my fiance 4 months ago i was not yet a US citizen so i still used my Ukrainian passport and a green card to travel and see her. The stamps are in the Ukrainian passport)
  • Engagement ring receipt and translation (It has my signature on it and date and the cashiers signature. So i am using it also as a proof of being in Ukraine)
  • Money exchange receipt and translation (has a date, my name and signature and a bank stamp. Also to help prove my presence in Ukraine)
  • 10 Colored photos printed on a paper (2 per page and a brief explanation and date next to each photo)
  • Skype screenshots of video chat logs (After seeing each other to the time of the petition)
  • Viber text conversations (16 pages. 2 or 3 pages per month of text logs since seeing each other last time to the time of the petition)

That is how my K1 packet looks like! Please let me know any comments you have. It is GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!

Your petition looks good!

I somehow completely missed the requirement of G325a Forms when I submitted my paperwork in June and am just discovering this now. Do you think there's anything I can/should do or do I just have to wait for an RFE? Or will it just be denied? This is terrible. I thought I had absolutely everything.

You will just be sent an RFE. All you need to do is respond promptly to the RFE with the G-325A form and passport photo for both you and your fiancé.

Does the alien spouse need to sign and date the passport photos or was that just something a little extra?

Just need to have the name on the back.

In my checklist where it says :

  • "G-325A and one passport style photo - Alien Fiance (Signed and dated)"

What i meant to say is that the G-325A is signed and dated by her and not the passport photo. With the passport photo she went into a studio in her home country, took a picture and they gave her a digital copy of that picture which she sent to me via email and i went and printed it out in Walgreens (Walgreens is more expensive but they do a Glossy picture as per the requirements). Than i just took a thin black felt tip pen and lightly wrote her firs and last name on the back, no signature and date.

Looks great! Just double check that everything is signed and every applicable box is filled out. Good luck! My fiancee is coming this week, we are both 25, where are you located? We are in southern California.

Thank you!

That is fantastic! Congratulations!

I am in Portland, OR
