NOTICE TO ALL NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICANTS: (Updated: August 5, 2014)

We have made significant progress and issued most of the delayed visas worldwide. We are working to bring our systems back to full operational capacity.

We continue to prioritize immigrant visas, adoption cases, and emergency nonimmigrant visa cases. We are printing visas for these cases with very few delays. We are aware of a small number of visa cases still in process because of system performance issues. We are working diligently to clear those cases.

Visa applicants are advised to expect delays of up to one week in addition to our normal processing times of 7 days. Please take this into consideration when making travel plans.

Applicants, who are concerned about the status of their passports should check with the Embassy call center at (02) 982-5555 and (02) 902-8930, open Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. to see if the passport has already been received for delivery, or go to this website: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-niv-passportretrieve.asp to track the status of your passport.

Applicants, who interviewed with the U.S. Embassy after July 21 and would like their passports returned to them without the U.S. visa may contact CONSManilaNIV@state.gov with their name and passport number. Please use the subject “Request for Passport” in your email.

Applicants who have an urgent need to travel to the United States may contact CONSManilaNIV@state.gov with their name, passport number, and nature of the emergency. Please use the subject “Request for Passport” in your email. Please understand that only true emergencies of an extraordinary humanitarian nature can be considered for exceptional handling.

We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this matter and apologize for the inconvenience.

Awesome. Thanks for this update as my honey just got approved yesterday and the Embassy told him one to two weeks; so now possibly a little delay because of this. Thanks again

Just note, that contact information is for Manila.
