And is this a good thing, or bad? All this speculation about what this all means...we don't even know what's going on! Whatever the case, I just hope my file isn't misplaced :-(

Don't worry! I don't think they can easily lose a file or anything like that :) We don't know if getting transfered is necesarily a good thing or bad, but it's obviously to help with the heavy backlog of TSC. So it's a good thing for all in the long term. But right now, we don't know where the files are being transfered (possible CSC) or if this will speed up TSC for the time being.

I did a little research on VisaJourney to see if this ever happened before, and found this topic from a year ago. People who got transfered got their NOA2s a month or so after the transfer. I didn't read the whole thing as I haven't been transfered (at least not yet), but it might give hope to you guys :)

Cheers

Ok...last update for what I have seen so far as I am sure it is rather obvious that transfers are happening :). I broke the numbers down to give a different perspective by month and as a side interest, by country.

Total Transferred so far - 55

April - 24

May - 31

Bosnia Herzegovina - 1

Bulgaria - 1

Cambodia - 2

Canada - 3

China - 1

Colombia - 1

Dominican Republic - 2

Ecuador - 1

France - 1

Ghana - 1

Guatemala - 1

India - 1

Indonesia - 1

Jamaica - 3

Japan - 1

Kenya - 1

Mexico - 2

Morocco - 2

Netherlands - 1

New Zealand - 1

Peru - 1

Philippines - 1

Romania - 1

Russia - 2

Saudi Arabia - 1

South Africa - 1

Ukraine - 1

United Kingdom - 14

Vietnam - 2

Yemen - 1

Unknown - 2

I know that has no bearing on anything but many people seem to wonder where petitions are from that are being handled. So there it is.

I will track where the petitions end up as well but if I see them all going to the same place, which I suspect they will, I will just leave it at this.

Good luck everyone and keep those TSC transfers coming. Next step NOA2!!!

Actually I meant wine...helps calm the nerves.

I was saving Champagne for the celebrations later during the NOA2's but hey, always a good time for the bubbly :)

Cheers

Thanks for all your work. This is very beneficial.

I was trying to see if local offices handled I129f's before and came across this http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/441796-faq-case-transfers-to-another-service-center/

I am not sure if it is still accurate, but it basically says that the first notice you all received meant your electronic file had been transferred to another service center and the second one saying it had been transferred to a local office meant that your physical file had been transferred.. and you will get a third text soon that means your physical file has been received. So according to this it means you are going to another service center (California? Vermont even?) rather than a "local office"

granted - i am definitely new to this, and this absolutely can be outdated - but just wanted to share what i found since it looked like the messages you all received

good luck guys!!

edit- i am clearly new and can't even figure out how to post a link - but it is the faq-case-transfers-to-another-service-center - i dont know why it won't post

Thanks. That link is very helpful.

Looking at the dashboard data, TSC received 4009 I-129Fs in April and May. They don't break down how many of these were K-1s vs. K-3s, but the forums seem to indicate that K-3s are significantly less popular. Has anyone heard about K-3s being transferred this week?

CSC completed an average of 2035 I-129Fs per month in January - May 2014. So, IF our petitions have been transferred to CSC and IF they are prioritized over the July applications already there and IF CSC continues at the same pace, I would expect to see action on the transferred petitions within 6-8 weeks.

I was thinking...even if we get approved sooner, I can't afford to bring him here until December anyway. We figure we will still try to get to the interview as quickly as possible & if he gets his visa before December it will just give me more time to find a nice affordable apartment. I do hope it goes quickly. Knowing dates for things (& that something is going on right now) will make this process easier to bear. I'm happy I got this news now cuz I leave for England on Friday:) I can't wait...& it'll be awesome if he can be here 4 months after my visit.

I am the petitioner.

Hi! New here - I got two texts and two emails yesterday. My papers were accepted 4/17/14. Are these transfers or a second step?

Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Your Case Status: Initial Review

On August 11, 2014, we transferred your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators.

If you have filed an I-485, I-589, I-751, N-400, I-90, I-821, I-131 or I-765, you can expect to receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints and/or photographs taken. The timing of your appointment is determined by the number of applicants ahead of you that also need a biometric appointment. We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application. We will send your appointment notice approximately 14 days ahead of your scheduled appointment. It is important that you keep this appointment. If absolutely necessary, you can request that your appointment be rescheduled however, please be aware that rescheduling may delay the processing of your application. Please follow the instructions on your appointment notice if you need to reschedule. Occasionally, you may receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints taken when you have filed a form other than those listed above. In these situations, you may receive your appointment notice more than 30 days after submitting your application or petition.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results

listed above, or if you have not received a decision from USCIS within the current

processing time listed*, please contact USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283.

*Current processing times can be found on the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov under Check Processing Times.

*** Please do not respond to this e-mail message.

Sincerely,
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)

My fiance and I are in the same boat. As frustrating as it is, we had our own timeline which extended to January/February at the earliest - even if we were approved sooner. He can spend Christmas with his family and I have to get an apartment, plus funds are important. The thing is, I just want a timeframe. I understand it can be 5 months, but as everyone knows it's so difficult to plan your life and huge things around something that is so fluid. His job, my apartment, his POE date - all these things are very important but we can't do anything about them since we have no actual timeframe! If TSC was guaranteed at 5 months I could rest easier and plan better. We'll see :) Good luck!
