NOA1 - April 9 2014
Was initially transferred to Texas Service Center

Just wondering if I am reading this new notification correctly ---

"On August 11, 2014, we transferred your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), to your local USCIS Office for further processing. The new office has jurisdiction over your case and will send you a decision as soon as processing is complete or you will be notified if further information or action is needed. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address."

I know no intricate details, I only knew this major shift of work load was coming..,.,.it happened before I thought it did happen.

I do not know, who, how long, or sent to where, I just cannot "push" my contact, as "this" was not supposed to be leaked.

Message today to say case has been transferred somewhere else .

I think everyone is reading "Local" too literally. If there are only 2 offices that process I-129f's and you are being sent away from one, then the only other local office is CSC (probably). Little field offices are not staffed or trained for these matters so it would not make sense to send them there. The government loves to send multiple messages saying the same thing. How many of you have ever dealt with the IRS or Unemployment Office? Same thing. The government wastes more paper than any organization on the planet.

I am sure they mean the same thing. Like I said...they love status messages. I am surprised they don't send you one stating your petition just moved from the office to the mail room. Then another notifying you that it has been loaded on a truck. Then another to say it was shipped. See where I am going with this?

Relax. It is a different message telling you the same thing. Expect another notice in a few days stating it has been received at CSC and a new number has been assigned.

Edit. I just saw what SaraandGavin wrote...that is what I am trying to say.

Do I hear wine corks popping? I sure hope so.

I know that has no bearing on anything but many people seem to wonder where petitions are from that are being handled. So there it is.

I will track where the petitions end up as well but if I see them all going to the same place, which I suspect they will, I will just leave it at this.

Yep.. woke up to my second notice about the "local office" starting with 11th.

Interesting to see the transfers hitting May 30th. Considering VJ is a small population of the overall I-129F filers, this may be good news. My fiance and I were July 2 filers, curious to see how far this extends. Looking at the 11 approved from TSC today 8/11, they are working on end of February and hitting a few early March filers now. (I ignored the Phillipines in this because they are still getting expedited I guess)

Er...is there any May filer that hasn't been transferred?

My NOA1 is May 21st and I have not been transferred. I'm just hoping that in all this commotion they didn't lose my file or something!!

Not all the cases are transfered. At least not yet. I'm an April 1st filer and I haven't got transfered, even though some other April filers did, including an April 1st one.

And is this a good thing, or bad? All this speculation about what this all means...we don't even know what's going on! Whatever the case, I just hope my file isn't misplaced :-(
