since our approval and from time our case was sent down from USCIS there has been much to do in preparing for our

completion of our cr1 visa.

recently I was told that the 230 application was no longer in effect.

If I hadn't called NVC with questions I had, I wouldn't have known this. I was told by a agent there that their was an update

of their system, that only needed to turn in is the 260 online application?.....and the Affidavit of support......But I am in limbo

because my tax papers are not back so I can complete the AOS.

If I go ahead and send in that 260 online application will that cause any problems if the Affidavit is not sent in rite now??

Am I on the right Track?????....I don't want to mess up our application or our case????

Some one please Help me with these questions??????.....

When I told my Husband what was going on and that their were changes he got confused, now he is saying what if NVC

make mistake and is telling me something wrong??????....

Agitated and confused!!?????......

Is this correct??...have they done away with the 230 appl.????

and is it no problem if I send ahead the 260 now??.......

IN NEED OF ANSWERS AND HELP REAL SOON!!!!

AOS and IV are separate, parallel tracks , usually with different start dates for payment and intake, not connected one to the other.

the DS-260 can be done AFTER the payment status shows 'PAID' in the online payment portal.

and yes, the DS-230 is predicated, no longer used at NVC.

what's the status of the DS-261 ? (yes, two sixty one)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I suggest you read the NVC WIKI 100 times so you are familiar with the NVC process. and following the AUGUST NVC thread will help you too.

Read the Wiki in the first post by Saylin... its like an NVC BIBLE.
