during the interview, they ask me to submit the original copy of the birth cert,CENOMAR, etc. they said they will return all those documents together with the visa once they deliver your visa. is it really true? those documents are still useful, i really need the original. confused again.

My wife "id not get her orginal birth certificate back from the interview.,.,.,.we had to go to get her a new copy before she could go to CENOMAR,.,.,,. you will need orginal copies of your birth cert...,.,.,along the immigration road, you will travel!

Wife is from Cebu.,,.,..,through AOS, will file ROC.,,.in about a year.,.,.,

The embassy requires originals of the CENOMAR, birth certificate and NBI according to the embassy instructions letter, so I doubt you will get those back. If you need an originals I would suggest you get extras.

As for returning documents the embassy states they will "try to return" ..... no guarantees.

We will try to return documents that you submitted and asked us to return, but do not give us anything that
cannot be replaced. Make copies of important documents and submit copies along with the originals you want
returned to you.

What they probably meant by "returning them" is that they will place those documents inside the visa packet which you will have to surrender at your Port of Entry (POE) in US. They technically keep everything they ask for during the interview, so consider them gone.

Of all those documents you submitted, you will only need another NSO copy of your birth certificate for your future use here in US. I would suggest that you get 2 copies of it, para sulit ang visit sa NSO. :D Also, it will be really expensive when you buy them online from US.
