Hi Darnell:

My story has been updated. Only Ms Darnell may remember my story. So I didn't write it properly. Sorry guys,

#1 My old I-130 has been reaffirmed. (Got the notice. They said they going to send it back to Department of state, it means NVC )

#2 My new I-130 is in processing ( In NVC,now, already pay AOS fee, can't pay the IV fee yet, got the notice from NVC has 60 days to review ds-261)

#3 Here is my question,

When I enter my old case number into the Cest.state gov website. I am able to sign in and see both AOS AND IV fee had been paid (Of coz I paid last time)

I am able to fill out the DS-260 form through the website. (I finished the DS-260 form) and I saw the "current processing site is " guangzhou" ( My new case show current processing site is "nvc")

Does that mean they actually already working on reaffirm case? Please advised. I appreciate your help.

Chris - I think you've hit a glitch in the system, with that old case #, being able to sling the DS-260 in. Why? When you paid first, way back when, it was only the DS-230, there wasn't any online intake for the DS-260. That online payment portal system has changed much since you last used it.

With that said, I think you've hit an anomaly.... IMO - the contracting firm never tested for this condition [two I-130s at NVC on the same human, one being re-affirmed]. I do know is possible to see your casefile at the payment portal AFTER visa is issued, for some years now.

as to yer question about the I-130 being re-affirmed and ready at NVC - uh, no. that's not any indication, IMO. For clarity, call NVC on Monday, get a shift supervisor, and see what's what on both the old I-130 and the new casefile.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Hi Darnell:

Thanks for your reply. Call in NVC, The Supervior always not available. The agent tell me the old case is going thourgh " Necessary administrative process". New case is suffering from the delay as everyone else.

Do you have a idea how long this administrative process take normally?

It takes as long as it takes. I have a friend who was reaffirmed August last year they have yet to be scheduled their interview they embassy says they are in AP. So wait you must no one can tell you the time because we don;t know what it is they are investigating.

OK - so when you check CEAC status on the re-affirmed casefile # (GUZ or GZO) it's showing administrative processing.

This is NORMAL for all casefiles , regardless, prior to interview day.

What's going on ? GUZ IV is logging the casefile, starting yet another round of background checks, etc etc.

For clarity, call into NVC, punch option 3, and ask if the casefile has arrived at GUZ IV, has been logged at GUZ IV.

So, it's possible, this re-affirmed casefile is going to get another interview scheduled. To the best of my knowledge, at this juncture, GUZ IV will schedule the appointment and send something out via email. If you'd like to ask them directly about it, there's a webform email thingie on the GUZ IV website....
