Hey all we finally got CC on August 20th!!! So happy and excited! But I haven't got an email from NVC and I called today they said they are waiting on embassy to give them the date. Anyone knows how long DR is taking to give interviews? Hopefully we can make it to early October ?

Check out the spreadsheet in Post #1. It has plenty of cases from DR.

Thank you guys...I really hope that we will get the interview date very soon. When I called NVC on last Tuesday and asked what are the chances of getting an interview date any soon, the rep's response was..that they are done scheduling for the month of August and told me to expect an email for interview date on the 1-2 week of September..now I can't wait until this month is over

Ignore what the NVC rep said. This week is a scheduling week for October. Keep an eye on this thread.

I'm calling now..any questions that's more generic...you guys want me to ask NVC?

Omg...they put me on hold for 1 hour and 3 minutes and talked for less than a minute!!! So annoying...this girl named Ariel...when I asked if she can tell me how long in average I will have to wait for the interview date email..she said she can't tell, there's no time frame and there's nothing one can do but to wait for the email! Then, I asked if the NVC sends the documents after the case is complete to the designated country's US Embassy and if my documents has be send out yet? She answered that until the interview date is scheduled, NVC will keep all the documents..and she adds that my case was initially completed on 14th of August...and I was told before by another rep that it was completed on the 18th...since most of the people here got their confirmation email for CC on the 7th day...I'll take my the 14th as my original date of CC...oh lord...all I need is patience and more patience....

Wohoo, NVC shipped all the Documents to corresponding countries it seems!

I have a question, Are we going to get interview scheduled by NVC or by Consulate once they have papers?

Unless you requested a expedite and was approved your casefile hasn't gone anywhere.

Nothing goes out until after an interview is scheduled then usually a few days later they ship out.

So hang on.

Hi..when was your cc date? You're at the Bombay consulate too?

Hi, my CC date was 14th Aug, and got an email on 21st Aug. Yes, I am at Bombay consulate. Called NVC again, and they told they are still waiting on an interview date. Why is it taking them so long :( I am really getting too restless now.

Hello everyone. My wife's case was expedited and her interview will be September 2nd. We never even sent the IV package to NVC and the AOS will be sent back to us without having ever been reviewed, so we need to bring both complete packets to the interview. As a result, I am a little confused about the additional documents necessary.

In the email I received upon notification of our interview date, it said to bring the following things...

Ø Confirmation pages of DS260

Ø Original Marriage Certificate with English translation

Ø Original Family Register with English translation

Ø Medical Examination Documents from a Panel Physician

Ø Police Certificate from Japan

Ø Completed form I-864 with supporting documents

Ø Fee, $230.00

Ø Two photos

Ø valid passport

Ø Letter pack 510

The thing that I am confused about mainly is the police certificate. We obtained one police certificate that we intended to send with our IV package but we never sent it out. Since we will be bringing the one that was to be included with the IV package, does that mean just bringing one is enough, or do we need to request a 2nd one? It just occurred to me today that this could be an issue so we probably would not be able to get a 2nd one requested in time for the interview if it is needed. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Ohh.. ok.. I was wondering if only mine is not done.We have had a pretty bad luck with any quick developments. You see we sent in our applications of i130 way back in April 2013. Almost 6 months before even you had. And the USCIS took forever, and now at NVC since Jan 2014. That is why its pretty frustrating to know it has taken us 6 months more that usual :(
