Thank you for that tip!! It will save me from yelling a few curse words at the screen on Monday!!

I'm glad the SSN has already arrived :-)

You are most welcome. Hopefully, your husband will have the 9 digit number and it will save your nerves. This is based on info I found on the web. You'd think the would say something to the effect of "If your number is only 7-8 digits long, then do this"...but of course they don't. I won't rest easy until her I-551 arrives in the mail. Happy that your journey is almost over and wish you a happy reunion with your loved one.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED-

Tonite I can rest a little easier- although passing some of these milestones have also been satisfying...

Question about flight booking: last time i traveled abroad, i tried to book my flight w a credit card, my husband had, from outside the US. The system would not take it. But now, he no longer has that card. How do we book his flight? Bc if i do it w one of my cards, doesnt the passenger name have to match the name on the card? I have seen some sites say you may to show the card when you get to the airport. When i sent him some original docs, I included one color copy that had on it my passport (my picture page, biodata page?), front and back of my driver's license and a note, written by me, stating my husband's name and saying that he has my permission to use my credit card for his flight. I signed and dated it. I honestly do not know if this will suffice. Does anyone have any suggestions? He will have to travel to Amman, Jordan, for the flight. So, paying in advance, in person would not be an easy feat; it is a long and expensive journey, just to pay at the airport.

I bought my wife's airline ticket with my CC from here in USA. But then sent an email to the local office of the airline in Hyderabad, India to make sure there will not be any problem. They said, as long as the ticket has been issued to her name, there would be no problem. There wasn't.

Looks like they kept my original marriage certificate...

Either they made a mistake or you neglected to provide a copy. You could contact the embassy and have them extricate your marriage certificate from the envelope and replace it with a copy. Double check the stack of documents you went home with first... it might got folded somewhere in the stack. DO NOT get curious with the sealed envelope.

This is how it works if you look at the list from the August 5th bunch you see where it leaves Boston. When we say call NVC and get the date they shipped that' not the DHL date. NVC sends bundles to Boston. It's only when DHL scans into their system in Boston the date cloak is stamped. Usually its 1 to 2 days after the date NVC gives you.

That EXP 05 AUG 2014A has to be precisely on point on order to pull up packages. And than you use a date range usually the day or two before and leave the current date alone.

Now remember just because you see Australia doesn't mean its yours its a guesstimate at best but if the dates line up more than likely.

So probably Monday it will appear and have EXP 06 AUG 2014A or EXP 08 AUG 2014A

dwheels... Hollah!!

You are the best.

I'll be checking and double checking... and then hopefully i can hassle our consulate into an earlier interview.
