My husband has his interview scheduled for 09/11. Last week he went to his medical appointment and the xray found that he had scarring on his lung so now he has to do a speutum test for tb which will take 6 weeks to get the results. Does anyone know what he can expect to happen at the interview? Will they delay making a decision until they get the results? We've been told that it is very very unlikely that it will be tb.

Yes they ill not give a decision until they get the results. In fact many embassy will just send him home and wait the 6 weeks and reschedule.

OMG. WOW Awesome news. And the first day of the month. Wooooo whoooooo. Congratulations.

Thanks. I'm probably the only IV applicant for the month there. Once I know when they expect to get the medical results, I'll see if they'll be gracious enough to bring it forward and salvage a couple more weeks of US school days.

Great to see so many interviews scheduled this week :) Hope to see many more next week for everyone else still waiting!

I have spent the morning sorting through all our paperwork so my husband can take it to the interview on the 9th. Despite every reviewer of the Sydney Consulate talking about how easy it was an how they didn't have to provide any information, I am still stressing a little and sending it all in. On this note, just wondering if I should provide updated documents? Our AOS package had bank statements through to May, do you think I should get printouts through to now? Also looking back at our original I130 package where we sent proof of our relationship, it stops at July 2013 - is it worth sending updated photos etc. to now? Australia is a low fraud country and I have been living here the entire time which they will know, but not sure if I should put together an addition to the original timeline and photos I sent or not. I will be attending the interview with my husband.

Feeling a little silly asking this, but any tips on what he should wear to the interview? He wouldn't turn up scruffily, I just don't know if jeans and a polo is acceptable or if he should wear suit trousers and a collared shirt. Of course with that decision comes the worry about what I will wear.... it's all too much!:D

Has anyone had any luck changing their interview dates without facing any issues? we are really thinking of emailing them, just waiting for the case to arrive i heard it takes 1-2 weeks after CC to arrive at the Embassy ? sorry for being so ignorant i was so focus on getting case to be completed that i haven't had the chance to follow interview forums :(

I just can't bare waiting 2 extra months, but i am a bit scared that it would mess up things for us if we change interview dates .

Hey guys! Just wanted to pop in and update real quick in case anyone was interested.

My husband got his green card in the mail today!! :dancing::dancing: We're done for the next 1.5 years or so!!!

I have tried to stick around here and answer questions and such but moving to the USA has been SO BUSY. We're at my parent's house still. I found a job really quickly and my husband has a great prospect right now. Everything's going really well, but really busy. I'm hoping things will calm down in this next month.

Nice to see everyone!! Best wishes at the interviews coming up!! (L)(L)

It varies consulate by consulate as to whether they will change the interview without your documents there. Ours took 1.5 weeks to get from NVC to the consulate, but that's pretty standard US to Australia. Our interview was then rescheduled a couple of days later with no questions asked.

Nothing to lose by emailing your consulate and asking. Worst they will do is say No :)

It's good to hear from you, and I'm glad you squared a job real quick.

Don't worry about putting VJ on the back burner. Your Visa journey is over and you have a new life to put in order. Others will carry the banner in your stead and guide the new recruits.

All the best to you and your husband.

Hello everyone,

I am trying to request an earlier interview date (can't hurt at this point :P)

I was wondering if there's a special email I should use or just the support@ustraveldocs email? Is there anything special I should include? I was planning to give a reason and my case information?

Thanks again, I wish all the best for everybody here! I don't know what I would've done without you during this process!!

If that address doesn't work, look up your specific embassy/consulate page for where you are having your interview. There should be some sort of 'Contact Us' page that has email addresses for immigrant and non-immigrant enquiries. For me there was a Sydney-specific email.

Edit: I put all the details in my email that I had to provide when calling NVC; so name and DOB for petitioner and beneficiary, case number, etc.

I didn't include a reason as to why we wanted it pushed out - I figured they could ask if they needed one. Didn't want to give them a reason NOT to bring it forward! ;)

Hey all, so yesterday I got mail, I got so excited thinking it was our interview, turns out it was NVC stating "they had updated our email and address and they are waiting on DR embassy to schedule our interview" Really!? Why bother sending me that when they already sent me an email with the same info... ugghhh what a waste of time and paper?

NVC started scheduling on Friday and there was someone from Morocco who got scheduled. Call on Tuesday. You may have already a date. You'll get a confirmation email a day or two later anyway. Check the spreadsheet on Post #1 and stay actively informed.
