I went online and I am going to the post office to pick up the package tomorrow. Doing this is going to cost me $11.50 which is a stupid fee in my opinion but at least I won't get another CHECKLISTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!

I just did some math and it's a little discouraging. If I go by 30 business or 60 calendar days for when I submitted my stuff and when IV could potentially unlock/be sent/wait for those days, I don't have us getting case complete until American thanksgiving. So definitely after that then if you need to add in when NVC "scans" items. Holidays are gonna mess up getting interviews probably too. I don't wanna travel in the snooooow.

Of course, however, the factors are constantly changing so it could be sooner and it could be later. For everyone here I hope it's sooner! But from the bottom of my heart I just want everyone to remember that we are doing this because we love our spouses. Never stop loving your spouses and don't let anger from this mess get the better of you. Time and distance are nothing when you have someone you love dearly. Our relationships will be stronger than most!

:ranting: Oh jesusssssssssssssssssssssssss. I am so fed up lol I AM HOPING that I can put N/A if not then I will just send this ####### again, so sick of it. I didn't file taxes in 2011. I did in 2012 and 2013.

I am definitely going to end up with a head full of gray hair soon.

Someone please clarify ASAP. :cry:

We asked that to NVC to before we send our I-864 and they said if you dont make income put 0 not N/A ... hope this help..

Have you considered filing to have your application expedited? I would reach out to the embassy in Sydney, explain your situation, and request their assistance.

In my opinion, you and your family have waited long enough. You case needs to move to the embassy.

O-M-G!!! I actually fell off my seat. Called the NVC and got the dreaded JOY, and let me tell you, she was LOVELY!!! I'm not joking, she is by far the most helpful person I've spoken to so far.

I explained that everything has been accepted apart from 1 minor error on the AOS which I resubmitted and was received on July 9th. I asked if given the current delay's to processing times and the backlogs if it would be possible to take the amended form straight into the Consulate interview, thus helping them with processing times and getting my case back on track. She explained that sometimes for something minor, they do what's known as Pre-Approval where they just send everything on once the interview is scheduled without necessarily reviewing the checklisted document, but it's not something which can be instigated, it's up to the reviewing officer if they want to do that.

She was extremely pleasant, friendly voice tones and told me to have a great day at the end of the call. Is there by any chance two Joy's working there? Maybe because I was her first call of the day (it was 7am and I wasn on hold for all of 15 seconds and got through on the first attempt) she hadn't been put into her usual grumpy mood yet. Or maybe all those complaints about her have paid off and she's finally realizing that friendly service equals friendly customers.

*On 08/01/14 I received a checklist via email and responded right away. Over a month later, on 09/09/14, I received the hard-copy in the mail. I contacted a supervisor at NVC and she instructed me to write a letter of explanation to accompany my "real" checklist response. She also told me this may not help me and that we may be back in line. Lord help us!

Thanks. Yeah, it must be a different Joy. My stomach lurched when she said her name, at the end of the call I actually asked her "did you say your name is Joy?" as I thought I must have misheard her lol.

I've also emailed the London embassy to explain the situation to see if they can perhaps request the case be sent. I'm at the stage where I'll do anything to get that case complete haha.

*On 08/01/14 I received a checklist via email and responded right away. Over a month later, on 09/09/14, I received the hard-copy in the mail. Upon reading the hard-copy, I found that NVC made a mistake and emailed me the wrong checklist. I contacted a supervisor at NVC and she instructed me to write a letter of explanation to accompany my "real" checklist response. She also told me this may not help me and that we may be back in line. Lord help us!

No no we don't want u to get u another checklist. Listen u shipped it on 6 aug so call dhl if they have not sent it yet then cancel the shipment. And if they have sent it then send another 1-864 right away with the correction so in case u get a checklist they have another package of urs a day apart. Just wait till morning I m sure someone else can confirm this here. But I m almost 100% sure I m correct cuz a couple months back I saw someone getting a checklist for putting n/a there. Write in amount in 2012 and '0' in 2011 with a letter of explanation as to why u didn't file. And 2013 transcript they already have so u don't have to send again

I am not sure but I believe if you get a second checklist for the same packet and the point is relatively minor, they ask you to take the corrected document to the interview itself. In that case, you will not waste more time. Although since it is so soon that you sent out the updated AOS, you can also try what Samreen23 is suggesting.
