I got a duplicate false checklist for my IV docs. I called them up and she said that they sometimes send out two in error and just to ignore the 2nd one. It was an exact duplicate apart from the date on the top.

Huh, you're right, this second one is dated a day after the original. They so silly.

Quick question, on AOS for 864, do you have to put N/A on every blank line, i didnt do that on my phone, does that me i will be receiving a CHECK LIST?

Yes, if you're over the poverty line now and can prove it with paychecks/employer letter, you wouldn't have needed your parents to chip in unless NVC or your embassy specifically asked for that for some reason.

Did you fill out an I-864A for both of them? I thought if you're using the sponsorship of a couple who filed Married Filing Jointly, one person does the I-864 and the other spouse does the I-864A so that both incomes can be used as one.

Either way, since your income is enough, maybe you could ask NVC to remove your parents' paperwork from the pack and just use yours?

I didn't know we could ask them to remove the form...and yes I filled out 864a for both. but either way, if I asked them to remove, they would probably send a checklist and request employment letter or paystub...I only sent them our transcripts and they said the I864 looked fine, only thing was the NA part....damn it..

I sent in my checklist response on june 25....so today is 30 business days apparently. called yesterday and was told that stupid 60 days rule....

all I wanted to know was if there was any updates...I figured getting mad or complains about the time doesn't really help at all, so why bother...so anything else they said I just ignored!

It depends on what lines you left blank. If you answered all the questions and left the answers that don't apply blank, then you should be fine.

If you skipped entire questions and didn't N/A any answers, you might get a checklist.

I'm surprised they didn't checklist you for proof of current income. I thought that applied to everybody whether they were the sole sponsor or not.

I think at this point you should wait and see what the result of your response to the checklist is. After two (three?) checklists regarding the same issue, they will still give you case complete, but you have to take the correct paperwork to the interview so it's not something that will hold you back indefinitely.

I think at this point you should wait and see what the result of your response to the checklist is. After two (three?) checklists regarding the same issue, they will still give you case complete, but you have to take the correct paperwork to the interview so it's not something that will hold you back indefinitely.

I hope they won't give me another checklist....I don't want to wait another 60+ days... :bonk: I will probably shoot myself if another checklist is coming..

but on the instruction it says either the IRS transcript or Form 1040 with Form W-2 or other supporting doc...so I just got the official transcript for all of us.

with their instruction and they never follow it, so who knows :whistle: but praying......

Just call up today and ask specifically:

'When was my AOS package scanned in?' (should be close to the date it was delivered)

'When was my IV package scanned in?' (should be close to the date it was delivered)

Depending when the IV package was delivered, it should have been scanned already as it only takes a few days to scan in.

Yes, processing times affects progress, but complaining about said processing times does NOT affect progress. Seems like 90% of this thread (which was created less than a week ago) has been about the same 60 day email everyone is getting.

That only affects people waiting for a visa to be processed at an Embassy or consult, that has no affect on us at the NVC.
