Give it a day…i got it too and it freaked me out..but if you read SAylin's wiki page you will realize they are actually working on it..and in 24 hours you should be able to pay it.

I received AOS Processing Fee Bill Invoice this morning through an email. When I am logging on to the fee payment portal on CEAC website, it still says "this case is in the process of termination".

Has anyone else experienced this before after receiving AOS Fee Invoice? I thought only IV Bill wasn't availble right away to pay online and one had to wait 2 or 3 days before paying it, is it the same case with AOS fee?

I wonder how many people "pretend" to do that just to get the auto-expedite? Sounds illegal to me though.

I am preparing to fill out DS-260 and not sure what to write for the Primary occupation in work/education section.

I am a stay-home mom for the last five years, but i have a degree in economics and worked as an economist for many years before i got married.

should I write "Homemaker" for Primary occupation and "economist" for other occupations?

When was your DS-261 submitted to gauge when your IV would be invoiced. If it already shows "Pay Now" (if I recall correctly), just continue to periodically check it until you're actually able to click it.

I believe USCIS wasn't auto-expediting overseas applications until April due to the backlog.

So if you applied before April, 2014, your case wasn't probably auto-expedited, unfortunately.

Timing and luck seem to be big factors when it comes to everything in life (especially immigration).

Question...I keep reading that once you get your NOA2 hard copy to start calling NVC for case number etc . I have called two times and bot times I was told that YES they have my case but no there is not a case number yet and to call 30 days after NOA2 . I was told that calling within 1 or 2 weeks is too early ! Sooooo do I still keep calling every few days until I get a case number or what ? Both operators told me that it is taking the 30 days right now to enter case numbers.

We were able to complete the DS-261 , although we havent heard anything from NVC !

Not even an email from them with our casenumber , we got the casenumber and IINnumber by calling them.

AOS question for people with Mumbai consulate experience.

I have received checklist from NVC regarding AOS. It says following.

The NVC has received the information you have submitted in reference to the Affidavit of Support. Please be advised that the Affidavit of Support information you have provided does not appear to meet the minimum income requirement according to the current poverty guidelines to sponsor the intending immigrant(s) for this petition. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of your interview. In order to avoid delays, you may wish to submit an additional Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) for a/another Joint Sponsor to the National Visa Center to assist in sponsoring the intending immigrants. To view the current poverty guidelines, visit http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-864P.pdf.

My income is below poverty line. But I have more than enough assets in checking account to cover five times the difference between poverty line and yearly income. I did not get co-sponsor because according to I 864 instructions I met income requirement by adding my assets to my annual income. I called NVC and they told me that assets are not taken into account at NVC stage and consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of your interview. Lady at NVC told me to check Mumbai consulate practice on how they handle assets to meet the minimum income requirement.

Is there any one here with similar situation at Mumbai consulate? Did consular officer consider your assets? Please share your experience.

Unfortunatly im from december 2013, wish they would stop the auto-expedite as of right nowwwww.

Its soooo unfair for all of us waiting to get approved , and maybe helps a little to push the backlog (were all of us are in) back
