I received AOS Processing Fee Bill Invoice this morning through an email. When I am logging on to the fee payment portal on CEAC website, it still says "this case is in the process of termination".

Has anyone else experienced this before after receiving AOS Fee Invoice? I thought only IV Bill wasn't availble right away to pay online and one had to wait 2 or 3 days before paying it, is it the same case with AOS fee?

I called NVC today and talked to Brielle (super nice and helpful). Our DS-261 still has not been reviewed, but she sent it onto a supervisor for review because it is over the 60 days. Even though the last time I called and requested the same thing (it was also over 60 days) but this girl actually has a brain! She also told me I can send in my IV packet with the AOS barcode sheet because it is the same barcode for an entire case. I was so happy! I triple asked her just to make sure, and she said just to attention it to DR. She said it wouldn't be a problem. Makes me so so happy! So maybe I will get my IV invoice between now and Monday! :dancing:

Upon reading the hard-copy, I found that NVC made a mistake and emailed me the wrong checklist. I contacted a supervisor at NVC and she instructed me to write a letter of explanation to accompany my "real" checklist response. She also told me this may not help me and that we may be back in line. Lord help us!

Question...I keep reading that once you get your NOA2 hard copy to start calling NVC for case number etc . I have called two times and bot times I was told that YES they have my case but no there is not a case number yet and to call 30 days after NOA2 . I was told that calling within 1 or 2 weeks is too early ! Sooooo do I still keep calling every few days until I get a case number or what ? Both operators told me that it is taking the 30 days right now to enter case numbers.

Call as often as you want/can. My case number was generated within a couple of days of them receiving the case, I've seen others waiting 30+ days so it's just luck of the draw

CONGRATULATIONS! Amazing news. You can relax and start to forget this awful process. So happy for you :dancing:

hi everybody, both our fees status changed to paid today. we got the packets ready to mail out but the lawyer says to wait for the confirmation bar code or something the NVC will send us "in the mail", otherwise we would be check listed. I was not following this thread for nearly 2-3 months. I need members to tell me they are sending in the package according to Saylin's wiki with the required things right after the fee status changes to paid and not waiting for any confirmation thing and they are not receiving checklist for it.

The confirmation bar-code (probably the cover letter) is available in CEAC immediately after you make the payment, even if the payment isn't showing as paid. You can print it off, or email it. Perhaps you want to email it to your lawyer. Log into CEAC payments portal and at the very bottom you'll see the options to email or print. Just remember to click into both IV and AOS to print the different coversheets.

Quick question:

I am filling out the I-864 and can all entries be in ALL CAPS?

Are you completing on the computer or by hand? If doing on computer, it doesn't matter but you can fit more letters into the boxes if you use lower case. By hand it's easier to read uppercase/CAPS. Up to you, I don't think you would get a checklist unless they couldn't read something.

mail in a check... thats my plan if it continues to not show up.

I wouldn't risk that if I were you. You won't want NVC to tell you it will take 60days to process your check. I was tempted to do that also but I didn't. Got my IV bill July 21 and it became available online July 23. You might even be able to pay it today or tomorrow, just keep getting the website.

Hey all,

I got a disappointing email from NVC the other day. We mailed in the corrected I-864 form as per the checklist on July 9th and was told it would be 30 days from the time they received it. Now they are telling us that because of the increased number of approved petitions from USCIS, it will now be at least 60 days from the time they received our documents on July 15th. We were really hoping to get this all done so we could be with family for US Thanksgiving, but I doubt that'll happen now.

Well seems like it will take 2 days for that to show up. I'm happy to wait but will do what I can to move this along.

i woke up to the email that we have to wait 60 days.... this is just beyond crazy.

I have a question if anybody can help. we put in for an expedite back in 7/9/14 they requested my spouse's phone number which was provided 7/17/14 via email. since then, every time i call and ask they tell me that they're still waitting for the consulate to reply. is it normal to take this much time for a reply. my wife is due end for this year..what are the chances they will deliver here the U.S.?

thank you everyone

NVC cannot request anything before you have a case number. Then they just ask the consulate.

We had a case number July 11th and we had the confirmation July 24th. Today the consulate just told me that they sent me the instructions by post (they couldn't have sent it by email :girlwerewolf2xn: ) on August 4th. It all depends on the consulate. NVC does not really decide anything... and expedite doesn't mean 'right away' even though I feel super lucky that they considered approving our request!

Congrats to your wife for her pregnancy!

I just sent in my AOS checklist packet and the address on the barcode sheet was Attn: DR. If your barcode said CMR then that's where it needs to go.

This freaks me out.

My barcode cover sheet FOR the IV package documents said "Attn: CMR" on it for where to mail. So, I mailed them (the IV civil docs) Attn: CMR. I also noticed Saylin's example cover letter for hte IV docs used Attn: CMR. I mailed out IV documents on their own (not with an AOS package)

How screwed am I that it went to Attn CMR? This is a bit distressing in the current NVC environment. :(

No no... you sent it correctly. Attn DR is normally for checklists. It's okay! :)

You may want to reread the NVC process wiki linked in the first post. ;) This is very normal and the AOS fee has been a little delayed as of late as the NVC struggles to catch up to their work load.

Guys how many days does Nvc take to scan the docs from the receive date now??

I see after 3rd week of July Nvc takes 2 days to scan the docs from the receive date.

In June Nvc took 4-5 days to scan the docs but now it is taking less days...

I see a light at the end of this dark tunnel...

My IV packet was scanned 2 business days after it was received and that was on July 28th. I do know when I sent in my AOS it took them 8 business days to scan the documents. I think on that end of NVC is a little fast now than months before.

Thank you for your reply, I have read wiki several times :) This makes me feel better that AOS fee has been delayed as of late because I thought that was only the case with IV fee.
