NVC Filers - August 2014

Hello guys. I'm new to this thread. We are about to send our AOS this week. I just want to make sure Im doing things right. Please help! Thanks

1. Are the IRS tax transcripts that my husband downloaded from the IRS website accepted by NVC? Or do we need to order?

2. Is it advisable to also put our case number on i-1864ez?

We printed sticker labels containing case# and put them on the upper right corner of each page of supporting docs.

It's been over 60 days for me and they still won't do anything. They don't need to cover their arses when there's no accountability to anyone in the first place.

The letter is to cover their rear-ends. Now when all the senators and congressmen call, they can refer them to that letter which will make those inquiries a waste of time. And I get the feeling they set the notices to go out automatically at 30 days. I am starting to doubt they are working OT.

Welcome! Tax transcripts downloaded from the IRS website will be fine for the NVC! It's a brilliant idea to put your case # on each document you send to the NVC... Just in case it decides to grow legs and wander off.. Make sure not to leave the place of residence address blank if it's the same as the mailing address.. I've seen a lot of people who used the I-864EZ receive a checklist because they didn't write N/A in the box.

Seems like NVC is working on the weekends. I just received my IV FEE INVOICE and i checked on the CEAC website and it is ready to be paid. Go NVC!!. I wanna hear this from more people!!. Good luck everyone and God Bless us all.

Getting IV fee invoice could be a batch automatic process once the ds-261 is reviewed. It is not necessary that NVC is working on weekends.

be prepared..... I had to translate everything into English for the embassy in Costa Rica and all the docs were in Spanish ( the native language) and they wanted translations ( NVC and Embassy) It doesn't have to be a certified translation anymore but we still had to get EVERYTHING translated. I scanned the docs to my friend in Pennsylvania and she emailed them back. I had her sign the translation certification before I flew down for the interview. DO what you want, but why take a chance and delay your visa????

I would call the Consulate before wasting money translating. I had to translate everything but my husband is Egyptian and every Embassy and Consulate is different, why waste money. If they say you need them translated ask them if it has to be from their list.

That's exactly what it is, they're automated and they're on a delay. It took a week to get my Case Complete e-mail and I got it at 1:00 in the morning, they were not working at 1am.

People want to believe they're working OT maybe because it gives them hope that things will move faster, but when it doesn't, they'll be even more depressed about it. The rumor will never die, if that's what people want to believe, whatever.

That's what I did as well. Wrote case # in pencil on every non-original document and stuck a small post-it on every original document. I also stacked everything and affixed in a couple of those paper vice grips. My way of telling whoever handles my documents: " Don't you dare misplace anything! "

Not me I purchased one of those stamps you can change the numbers and ink and went to town. They wont lose my documents it is black and it's dark so they have to see if even if it's lost. Put it on everything I could think of and sent. Yes I did.
