I got another checklist after all this waiting. They asked again for a police clearance certificate which we already sent again from the local post office. What now? We have to get another one because they irresponsibly lost it?

I'm so frustrated, just checked ceac on my break at work and now it is showing as paid... All morning I was checking and nothing, now I'm working the night shift and I won't be able to fill out my ds260 until very late. I know it won't be until tomorrow's business day no matter what time I do it, but I am chomping at the bit to get it done at last after such a long wait. Reallly don't wanna be at work right now, wanna be home filling out my form!!!! Oh well at least I can smile that it is paid at last, I know some are still waiting and I feel all your pain

Okay, I received my case number and I logged in and filled out the DS-261 and submitted it and went to pay the AOS but I didn't have an option to pay it anymore. Before I had submitted the DS-261 I was able to click on it and see that it was $88

Is this normal? Will it be back up and if so, when?

And am I supposed to pay it right away without submitting any documents first?

I originally filled out an Affidavit of Support from my uncle and submitted it with my husbands I-130 packet. Do I need to e-mail it in again?

Help, please!

My case has been at NVC since Dec.

And after getting checklisted in June and sending documents in July 1st.

I got a response....another checklist.

They want a bank statement brokerage account statement? ####### that wasn't even on the previous checklist and it only is for one person not my cosigner either.

Absolute bullshit seems like someone at NVC had a bad day and sent a bullshit checklist.

FYI the amount I put for my bank and brokeag account was INCREDIBLY SMALL and non significant:

Absolute bullshit another 60 days will put me at 1 year at NVC. Are you ****ing kidding me?

Are you sure it's not a false checklist? Maybe your DS-260 has been reviewed and that prompted the false checklist for the one remaining item that they haven't reviewed yet? When was your last checklist scanned in?

Edit: After looking at your timeline, they probably reviewed your DS-260 a while ago. I would call them and ask if there is something wrong with the PCC you sent, or if they don't have it or what exactly the checklist is for.

Wow. I do not blame you for your frustration. That's total nonsense. I thought NVC only cared about income and not about assets? If you haven't already, I would contact congressmen, apply for expedite, call and ask for supervisor, ask if you can bring the checklisted item to the interview, etc. Do whatever you can to try to speed this up. So sorry you've been dealing with incompetent NVC for so long! (L)

That's complete BS. You should call and ask to speak with a supervisor. The least they can do is ask you to bring a new one to the interview. NVC is just creating more workload for themselves thereby giving themselves more packages to review :ranting:

That's part of the reason why they get backlogged when they issue checklist for the slightest thing :ranting: :ranting:

I hope NVC won't issue a checklist for me saying my Police clearance certificate had expired when they reviewed my package :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

Can you provide clarification if the IV Package is supposed to be sent to "ATTN: CMR" or "ATTN: DR"? What does your cover sheet say? I've read both ways on this board.

I'm not sure how hard Australia is for domicile (it's the one thing Canada is a stickler on). But one of the more important things when it comes to showing domicile is a job and housing.

The things I used to show I MAINTAINED a U.S. domicile and our AOS package was approved:

1) Mexican Tourist Permit, showing I am only "living" here temporarily

2) My driver's license from the U.S. (current license and also the recently expired one too)

3) Voter registration card

4) Various credit card statements

5) Checking account statement

6) Student loan statement

Hope this helps! :)

Thank you my dears!

A job and housing are the two hardest things for us to prove, sadly, because hubby is here with me in Australia so all he can show right now is that he is LOOKING for work back in the States. Tough when it's 6 months til he leaves to go back to the USA (side note: reckon I'll be going with him? I know it's hard to tell with NVC but .. gosh I hope so!), it's very early but he has applied for jobs with both the Vermont and New Hampshire Superior and Supreme Courts.

Housing again is tough because his parents are putting us up, we'll crash at their place for a few nights then move into their other house, the front of which his mum runs her business from but the rest of it will be ours. So there obviously won't be a rental contract or anything since it's family. Would getting an affidavit from his parents to this effect help or should we just state that that is what is happening on our cover letter and say that we can obtain an affidavit if necessary/requested?

We have the visa from Australia that clearly outlines he can't stay more than 12 months. He only renewed his bar membership for Vermont in March, while he was in Australia, so you would think they would see that as a sign he intends to go back otherwise why pay the fees?

I hope this doesn't stuff us up :(

I am the beneficiary. My husband is the petitioning USC.
