Basicallllly, I don't need to enroll then? ;o I read it before I swear! I just have a bad memory, or maybe I never fully digested what I read because I wasn't there yet! Uhm, your guide says 10MB but the State.gov website says 5MB or below is best. Ugh, the excitement is sickening ;-;

As I stated, and as it mentions on the NVC website (or, lack thereof now), no, you don't need to enroll anymore.

Oh, did they update their website stating a definitive size limit? Happen to still have the link so I can look? I can update my wiki once I see it to confirm.

Just spoke with a supervisor (Octavio) and he clarified that it is 60 day NOT 60 business days. He also said that this is for them to REACH you mail. This does not mean that this is the day it is REVIEWED by.

Hope that helps.

I hope Octavio was right and GOD BLESS YOU, phewwwwwwwww I feel so mucho better.

Will be praying it starts to pick up but wont hold my breath. :Dsmileys-praying-554778.gif

I haven't received the 60 days email yet. So it's still 30 business days (45 days) for me!

I wonder if NVC got the memo from the embassies/consulates because some embassies/consulates are experiencing a system problem and can't issue visas. I heard that some embassies had to cancel interviews. They may be rescheduling and canceling interviews so they need more time, which means they want to receive fewer cases from NVC. If so, NVC should be able to go back to the good old 30 business days wait once the system gets fixed? :clock:

I just got the 60 days email....at 7pm..... and my 30 business days is gonna be august 15...now 60 days...September 2....

Hi everyone I just received this email from NVC

We received XXXXXX XXXXX Choice of Address and Agent form. The next step is to pay the immigrant visa application fee. We will send an invoice to the designated agent after the form is processed.

Does this mean they have finished my DS-261 and I should see the IV fee and DS-260 available soon??

I reported the same thing (60 days not 60 business days) about 10 pages back. But I was told that it would be reviewed by then. Like others, I think they are buying time and will probably have CC's between the 30 business day date and the 60 day date. I also believe they are working overtime. On a call I had this past Monday, she mentioned something to the effect of "if they approve our proposal to work overtime and hire more staff" or something to that effect. It's like a restaurant at lunch time. Too many orders come in all at once and the kitchen can't keep up. But it is only for an hour or two. There is only so much food they can make at a time.

Back to the regularly scheduled comedy hour...

It has happened a couple of times with other people where their DS-261 took ten or more days to "reach" NVC via an instant electronic network.

I guess what happens is when we submit it, it hits an "inbox" where a worker then has to allocate it somewhere and for some people it took one day whereas others it took ten.

Obviously they allocated mine to the recycle bin.

There is no rhyme or reason in processing DS-261. I am also waiting for IV invoice and I submitted my DS-261 on 6/8. I spoke to the agents a few times and all they say is I have to wait. I asked for an estimate and also mentioned that some lucky folks after my submission have been getting IV invoice. They just informed me that NVC processes all cases in the order they receive them. I guess I just need to wait...

My letter to President Obama on the issue (no hope of real change coming from this just venting my frustrations):

"Dear Mr. President,

My name is thedude6752000 and I have petitioned the government for my wife, who is currently an Indian national residing in that country, to get a visa to come live with me here. I just wanted to thank you, you majesty King Obama, for your DACA amnesty, put into place completely in defiance of the US Congress and Constitution. Although I doubt you care, in addition to the 7 months at the USCIS I had to endure without my wife, I am now coming to find out that the National Visa Center has extended the wait time for every piece of paper they process from 30 to 60 days as a result of the backlog created by your brazenly illegal amnesty polices. I really appreciate all the help you've given to people who have no legal right to be in this country at the expense of people patiently waiting in line to come here the right and legal way. I especially appreciate the fact that I will pass my first wedding anniversary next month alone and without my wife. That's hope and change I can really believe in, because unlike your empty promises to "fix the immigration system for people playing by the rules" I am sure this will come to pass.

In closing I would just like to say that I cannot wait to vote straight Republican in November (and I say this as a former OFA Deputy Field Organizer in Florida)and even to help the Republicans here in Virginia organize and get out the vote, in order to do my small part to further ruin the last years of your useless Presidency, just as you have ruined my life and shattered my marriage.

Thanks for quick response how sad i wonder why they send an email like if its not going to mean anything??

I remember someone mentioned in the July NVC thread, that if you open "completed" DS 261 then it will reset the clock.

My question is: on http:.//ceac.state.gov I can see a summary page where DS 261 is listed as completed since I filled it out this evening, AOS status is listed which is in the process of being invoiced, and IV fee which will be available sometime after 3o business days. If I don't click on DS 261 "COMPLETED" I should be fine correct because I still need to track my AOS and IV fee and documents status?

I hope my question makes sense :help::help::help:

I just don't want to do any blunder from my side by clicking DS 261 and re open it accidentally. :bonk::bonk: :bonk:
