Can I use the AOS cover sheet to send the IV package?????

A lot of people have had success doing that. Officially it's not recommended. The only difference in the address on the cover sheet is that the AOS has "Attn: CMR AOS", whereas the IV just has "Attn: CMR"

If I was doing sending the IV on the AOS cover sheet, I'd whiteout the "AOS" part of the address.

Unfortunately they do review docs separately. Keep an eye of for people with scan dates on or around July 16th and you'll find out if your AOS docs were accepted or checklisted (praying you don't). You will get a false checklist if it's approved saying everything is good, but that they are still waiting on your IV docs. You can then ignore that. If it's a genuine checklist they will tell you what they need for you to resubmit and the date they receive that will be the date you are working towards for a case complete. If it is a false checklist then the date you are working towards will be the IV docs on Aug 10th. (again providing no checklist on those). I'm sure you get the jist.

EDIT: Take a look at my timeline, I was checklisted on my AOS docs.

Hey, sorry to bother you. How do you find out the scan date? By calling? Does NVC understand this terminology? (Sorry if this seems silly, but ...how do you ask?). I believe I understand the NVC process up to the part where I send the AOS and IV packages, but then it's a little bit of a mystery. Do you call every week (or however often) and ask if the packages have been scanned/reviewed/accepted or do you find out some other way? Thank you!

I just ask for case updates. They then tell you if docs have been received (scanned in VJ terminology) or sometimes that they are under review since [date].

They will tell you if a review has taken place and docs were accepted, or if they need something else (checklist). To quote the agent I spoke to last week "call as often as you like, however we will notify you by email"

From personal experience, I've received the following notifications:

DS-261 ready to be completed

AOS Fee available

IV invoice available

checklist for AOS

review of IV.

I called today and asked that same question since I've seen so many posts here about it. The agent said it doesn't really help to use your AOS cover sheet (and may actually hurt because it increases the chances that your documents may be misfiled) since they won't actually look at your IV packet unless you're at the 60 day window on your DS 260.

We filed the EZ form and used Gross Adjusted income instead of Gross Income. Worst part is, we submitted 2011 - 2013 but only 2013 actually gave a different figure, so we had 1 minor error.

Ugh, I'm sorry, that sucks. We've also completed the EZ form and are submitting 2011-2013, and I'm so scared about this. What did you do about the line that says to leave blank if same address as above? I read about a *lot* of people getting checklists for leaving it blank (...when it says to leave it blank). Did you put N/A or did you just repeat the same address twice?

Ugh, I'm sorry, that sucks. We've also completed the EZ form and are submitting 2011-2013, and I'm so scared about this. What did you do about the line that says to leave blank if same address as above? I read about a *lot* of people getting checklists for leaving it blank (...when it says to leave it blank). Did you put N/A or did you just repeat the same address twice?

We repeated the same address twice.

Hello,

I-130 was approved yesterday and I have a question regarding email correspondence with NVC. I am a bit confused about what NVC says online:

How to Enroll Your Case for Email

To establish email communication, an applicant, agent, or petitioner must enroll the case by sending an email to nvcinquiry@state.gov.

Can I do this now with the USCIS case # or do I need an NVC case #? Or do I need to wait for them to "receive" the case before I can enroll?

Thank you!

 God's timing is always perfect. . . :star:"Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!" (Luke 1:45) ^_^
