Got a nice letter in the mail today.. (unexpected). My wife and I barely check our mail... but there was a letter from the embassy to say our interview was on September 5th 2014 now! :)

9/25/2013: I-130 delivered by UPS (Priority Date)

It's my second anniversary too in January and I was thinking since this process took so long to complete, why not enter US after two years of marriage to qualify for the 10-year green card. I am assuming we might get a November interview the way things are moving, that is if there's no checklist. So it would be better to wait two months and then enter US.

You can always wait after you get your Visa to come to the USA to make sure you are IR-1. :D

Has anybody else received a checklist for the marriage certificate (although they did sent the right one) right before they were supposed to get a CC?

Was it the same exact marriage certificate you sent with the I-130?

Lemme say that I finally decided to stop being a passive observer of this forum and create a VJ account because of you, Soloenta. You and some of the other members on here are so much fun that I just had to say something to you

Thank you all for making this very painful journey bearable.

My 60-day letter says documents were received on 25th June which is when the bulk of IV checklist response was mailed. However the Singapore Police certificate which took about 15days to complete was received on 18th July. Just keeping my fingers crossed that since they are still reviewing my earlier documents, they will include the Singapore report as well and not give it an additional 60days from 18th July.

Wish us all a happy ending to this immigration ordeal.

Thank you Natanna what a sweet and lovely thing to say I'm honored and welcome to the thread. No worries we will be with you as long as you need us. We will soon stop feeding the Immigration monster.

Know that I'll be praying that all the difficulties disappear.
