Last week at this time I got straight through - no busy signal, no hold time. Weird!

Anyway I spoke to a very nice man and he told us that we have not yet got a case number and reminded me of the 30 day timeframe. No biggie we still have lots of documents to gather from my husband's parents in the USA so that will take some time in the post.

By the way I called NVC to confirm the Checklist and the really sweet kind guy said it's a false checklist they should have never said you had to send anything in woooooooooooo hooooooooooooo done with that part and my IV documents are scanned in on July 24 Th. Phewwwwwww was upsetting there for a bit.

Sometimes things are outta ur control. I already mentioned I m the beneficiary and my husband wasn't believing the fact that tax returns can't be sent alone. I got to the point where I got tired of arguing and said that fine send whatever u want. That's the reason I have been so anxious all these 45 days because I know what's coming. I realized the second he sent as well that he screwed it up but I couldn't do anything about it. U have everything in ur hands ur case in different.

You did what you could baby girl there was nothing you could do. Men can be that way so you just take a deep breath and all will be well in due time. We will be here to keep you company.

Don't feel so depressed it's not taking that long lately. Infact that's the one Thing they have improved with. U might get ur case number by the end of this month.

Ok, so after a very negative morning I feel better. Chatted to my parents in the USA and got to vent some more and talk it out.

Today, I am having an "indoor camping" day with my girls (aged 2, 4 & 6) and we are watching Frozen and we are all singing "Let It Go!!!" at the top of our lungs. This is what is important in my life, not NVC.

"LET IT GO, LET IT GOOOOO!!!!"

Just got off the phone with Joy at NVC... 41 minutes on hold. I cringed when I heard her name from what others have posted, but she was actually pretty nice. Maybe she got talked to about being rude, or maybe there are 2 Joys that work there, not sure.

Anywhoo, I asked her again when my DS261 and AOS packages were received, the dates she gave me were different from what I had recorded. She said July 9 for the DS261 (it was July 7 before) and EP packages received July 28, July 31, and Aug 8. August 8 makes sense because I sent my IV package August 7. July 28 and 31 for the AOS stuff doesn't make sense, because I sent it July 21 and then the 23 when I got the message that my files had password protection. That is a pretty long delay. Oh well at least I know what they are going by. Now to update my spreadsheet form for Saylin

I asked Joy when I could expect the invoice for my IV fees... she said it should be by next week but she would put in a request for a supervisor to make sure.

People complained and it worked there is no reason for us to be treated rudely so let's all keep up the good work.

I am bringing my stepdaughter here and am still waiting for the IV fee (I check everyday!!). I was wondering if there is ANYTHING to do to make it go faster?? She has .. issues? Her ex boy friend is a member of the MS-13 street gang and has been threatening her life and the life of her mother and little brother. They don't report things to the police because most of them are corrupt. I feel like we are so close to bringing her here but SO FREAKING FAR. My husband is freaking out because there is nothing we can do...

Help....???

Holy cow, Mara Salvatrucha gang is one of the worst gangs ever but they are also (just our luck) in the USA all of North America actually. Not sure if she would be safe here sorry to say but I wish you good luck and a lot of prayers heading your way. May God in his mercy protect you all since you will all be in grave danger.

If she didn't make income enough to file then she puts "not required to file". She doesn't write 0 or N/A.

She then includes a letter stating why she was not required to file and the evidence to support that (print out of the page saying if you make under XX amount you don't have to file)

I don't think the IRS verification letter of the fact that she didn't file is needed.

I read they request it but we sent a letter from the IRS for my father who is our sponsor but not for my mother who is co-sponsor or me and our AOS was approved.

so my lawyer said she call them and told them that she send in everything and explain to them about the letter and they said that they will make a note about that?

now im wondering how long it will take them now to fix that into there system , like should i expect another 60 days? or will they fix it asap idk guys , i do believe that everything happen for a reason , but i cant even focus on my work or my studies ,

I think they say 60 days to cover their A$$es with the extra benefit that when they finish in 35 to 37 days or less we all dance the happy dance and feel blessed and grateful. So I don't think it will take that long at all. Wish your husband would have asked "what does that mean please" he should really call back and see what exactly they are going to do and how long it will take. I'll be praying on my end.

Ok here it goes, I got an email to fill DS-261 thrice and I called NVC to know whats going on??? The rep I talked to was very very rude since the starting. He told me, he can't see my form in their system, AND I NEED TO RESUBMIT IT and I was almost into tears. Its been 30 days already.!! If I resubmit now, It would reset the clock. I just feel so low. Couple of days back a rep told me, I don't need to resubmit it because it shows completed on website and also I have the confirmation number with me. So I called NVC again, hoping for a nicer NVC rep. She told me, don't resubmit it. You need to wait couple of weeks more. It is not showing into our system because it hasn't been reviewed yet. I don't want to share all this with my hubby because he already thinks I am agonizing over this whole process. These reps are giving contradicting statements. I don't know whom to believe. If after 30 business days or whatever 60 days, it doesn't show up into their system, Can I call for a supervisor review? I don't want to resubmit it after waiting for 60 days and waiting again for another 60 days.I don't know what to do...!! I am so fed up now

help! today i received a checklist

"All traveling immigrant visa applicants on your case are required to complete and submit the DS-260

Online Immigrant Visa Application. Even if you previously filled out a DS-230, Application for

Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Form, you now must complete the DS-260 in order to be eligible

for a visa interview."

however in the ds-260 shows as complete.. is this a false checklist?

I bet it's nothing but call after 4 pm Eastern time and ask them what this means. I'm sure it's false. Prayers your way that it is and I have no doubt it is.

You don't want to touch the DS-261 unless you want to set a new world record of the longest waiting time to pay the IV fee.

I suggest that you wait for 15 more days since it's been almost 30 days since you filled out the DS-261.

If you don't receive the IV fee invoice email by the end of this month, I suggest that you call them up to remind them that you've waited for 30 business days (45 days) for the IV fee invoice.
