yea I've been checking the status, but mine is passed 8-12 weeks, so now it's showing

"Your amended return was received on April 14, 2014. However, it has not been processed. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Please call 800-829-0582, extension 623, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. You will need a copy of your amended return."

and I asked the people at my firm, they said it is normal when they need more time to process; this message will show after 8-12 weeks.

I work at a CPA firm, so I would think they have more experience than me cause this is my 2nd year working here. :secret::secret:

so I will call tonight at that number to see what's going on.

It seems that worked for you.. Great.. As an accountant you might have more idea.. I Did file 1040X with explanation at the bottom. And also attached Marriage certificate.. but didnt go through..

It seems that worked for you.. Great.. As an accountant you might have more idea.. I Did file 1040X with explanation at the bottom. And also attached Marriage certificate.. but didnt go through..

did you also attach the original form 1040 and updated form 1040? and put heading "original" and "amended"? if so I don't know why they didn't take your amended return.

I submitted an I129 shortly after our I130, I actually thought back then that there was a chance of that speeding things along.

Well, our I130 was approved over two months ago and we are waiting patiently at NVC.

Today I got a status update for the I129, it says they have mailed an RFE. Isn't that petition just automatically cancelled??

Not if it hasn't been approved or sent to the NVC yet. Call USCIS and withdraw it.

No iv fee invoice yet and I was told that I should wait more.

The operator Oscar told my husband we would receive it by last week but nothing happened of course.

Then I was told that my DS261 scanned date is June 16 (I submitted it on June 5 though) and so I should be patient until August 16. 60days she said.

I have not received the ridiculous 60days email yet but she said they sent it to me already. Well, maybe their computer system is not good ahaha.

I asked her why NVC is so unfair but she just repeated I have to wait for 60days. I asked her to pass the phone to a supervisor but she didnt do it for me.

We pretty much have the same dates as you and we are still waiting for the IV fee to be invoiced and the DS-261 to be accepted. Hang in there! :)

I didnt attached original 1040. May be I did it wrong.. Will see if I can apply it again

I didnt attached original 1040. May be I did it wrong.. Will see if I can apply it again

:oops: Then that's probably why they returned it to you. You have to attach original Form 1040, also 1040x with updated form 1040 together. Make sure you put heading on the top of each. "Original" on original Form 1040 and "Amended" on 1040x and updated form 1040.

I m really not coping up with this well anymore. Cried myself to sleep last night. Nvc is making this a torture. Isn't there anything we can do about this? Any complaining or anything? I feel like our marriage is dangling with a thread now. It's been 18 months since I saw my husband. And I really can't lose strength with us being so close to the target line.

Aww I'm so sorry! It'll all be alright, soon enough you guys would be together and will forget about these painful days inshAllah. Hang in there sweety, you've waited long enough and happiness is just around the corner ;) I'll make sure to remember you in my prayers :)

I just called NVC . i sent my AOS checklist and IV documents Aug 4th through Email, scanned date is Aug 6th. so i just have to wait now !

AOS application sent via Email June 10th . before June 24th when i called NVC they told me my scan date is June 10th. after that they are telling me my scan date is 24th !! and asking me where did you get the June 10th date from !

DS261 Submitted June 6th. Resubmitted by mistake June 12th

DS261 Accepted July 31 (got that through NVC call)

AOS checklist July 31 (got that through NVC call , didnt get email yet)

IV fee invoice Email , INVOICED on website and paid :) August 1st

AOS checklist email August 2nd .

AOS checklist send via Email Aug 4th

IV documents sent via Email Aug 4th - Scan date Aug 6th

DS260 Submitted Aug 4th

Expedite request sent Sep 6th

Expedite request forwarded to Amman , Jordan Embassy Sep 12th , under review

Expedite request approved Sep 16th. Status change to "in Transit" Sep 17th

Is NVC not working today?????? The thread is so quiet today.... No CC and interview dates yet? My ears are itching to hear good news.

That's what I'm wondering. The lady on the phone told me about the checklist last Thursday and I don't see anything in my email yet :( usually it takes them a day or two max to send out emails.

Usually mondays are always quite ..I think monday's always they are sleeping there .

May 30,2014- AOS and IV packet delivered thru Fedex.
