NVC PLEASE DON'T DO THIS !!!!!!

Dear VJ Family.

Something weird is going on and I need your help, We are almost at the end of our case, I sent the last paperworks to get our CR-1 visa case completed to have our appointment letter but unfortunately we got a checklist in (MAY) which requested documents were sent back in (JUNE 4TH) which states that they needed (CIVIL DOCUMENTS BUT THEY DIDN'T SPECIFY) which we sent in Copies of Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate, Passport Data Page, Police Certificates, and the Petitioner's Documents in June and they put on our file on (JUNE 11TH) and now we got another (JULY 25TH) again which (SPECIFICALLY) states that they needed (BENEFICIARY'S POLICE CERTIFICATE, MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE AND BIRTH CERTIFICATE) But we didn't resend yet.

But why didn't they send us all what they really required at (FIRST CHECKLIST) instead of just saying (CIVIL DOCUMENTS WITHOUT BEING SPECIFIED) ???? So after this (CHECKLIST) Which we just received on (JULY 25TH) we called NVC and the lady told us the checklist we got recently was from the (FIRST CHECKLIST WHICH WE GOT BACK IN (MAY BEFORE WE RESEND IN JUNE 4TH) Then the Lady told us that the ones we sent in (JUNE 4TH) Is still under (REVIEW) How come that came so late ????? WHAT ARE WE TO BELIEVE? CAN THIS BE A FALSE CHECKLIST? SHOULD WE SEND AGAIN? PLEASE WE NEED HELP.

We had the same issue, they sent us a checklist back in may 14 regarding civil docs because we had sent copies and the wanted originals? then we waited 30 days they sent another checklist on 6/27 because supposedly they didn't received my taxes (which i sent with AOS) and that i had missed 2 questions on AOS. I resent those on 7/1 they said they got it on 7/8 now we gotta wait another 30 days to review those uggghhh... it is unfortunate but this is how they work.... which sucks! Because we have been in the NVC stage for 6 MONTHS!!!!! They don't care they have no mercy. ?

NVC do that to make you feel the pain...as it happened to me. I have to re-done and re-sent my wife police certificate 3 times and resent another marriage certificate because NVC checklist said it's not original. At first, I thought was a false checklist, but guess not. It delayed my case for 4 months...I was pissed and called them up every day and have a fight with them on the phone. Now my case is pre-completed at NVC, just wait for interview appointment...

as on your case, if you think you send everything, then chances it's a false checklist, good luck on your case.

There is nothing you can do other than send what they are specifically asking for.

Sounds like the first checklist was a false one but you responded and confused them then when they reviewed you got another false checklist. All you cab do is keep o on top and call them.

Just a note whenever getting a checklist from NVC always call first to verify its a real checklist. If they do not ask for a specific thing its usually false but always call. Sorry for your delay but I am sure case complete will come soon.

We never even got a checklist. Just a link with a bunch of documents listed. We just sent all of them.
