G-325 A: Residence and Employment

Hi all,

I could really use some help her. I am trying to make it simple though.

Concerning the G-325 A, Biographic Information form:

"Applicant's residence last five years":

So from July 2008 until January 2010 I lived in the US as an Aupair with two host families in 3 different location (one host family in Virginia and with the other host family I moved around in Massachussets twice).

Do I have to put these addresses in the form as well? Or is it enough to out my Germany residence in the form?

Also:

"Applicant's employment last five years":

I am a student pursuing my Masters, before that I did my bachelors. So for the last 5 years I have been a student. Although I've of course worked some jobs to earn money. Right now for example I work for a big German company as a trainee student 10 hours a week. Before that I did a 6 month fulltime internship during my last semester as a bachelor student.

Does this apply as employment and do I have to list this in the section?

Thank you all so much in advane. Any help is appreciated.

Best, Verena

Ok, thank you. Does anybody know about the employment?

Hi there,

I listed my student status, unemployed periods (not a student), as well as all jobs during that time - all listed in order by month & year.

e.g. March 2009 :student in xyz course, May 2009: employed at blah blah, October 2011: student in xyz course.

etc..

I think the information that you provide must be accurate to avoid any confusion/delay later...

1. Yes, I would list every single place that you lived in the last 5 years

2. Yes, I would list your internship work as employment as well.

(attach a supplement sheet, if you need more lines to write on)

I'm assuming you are the beneficiary (from Germany), and your (US)
fiancee is petitioning for your K1 visa?
Looks like you don't have much income source as you are a student now (which is OK),
but your (US) fiancee would have to earn sufficient amount (with tax filing evidence)
over the poverty guideline. But this (I-134 affidavit of support)
will come later when your case moves to the embassy.

Will the US citizen have enough income to provide the affidavit of support?

You might also want to look at the I-134 (and even I-864) to see what income level

you will need to during the k1 visa (post I-129F) and even post K1 visa processing.

you will need to during the k1 visa (post I-129F) and even post K1 visa processing.

So he will move back to the States in September and of course get a job there which should be over the poverty level that is stated (he works here in Germany for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service as a civilian right now!).

As we want to send in the I-129 F package in as soon as he gets back to the States in September, he probably won't have a job right at the time we want to send the package.

Do you think its wise to state 'unemployed / job seeking' on his G-325A ? I mean they will see that he just got back to the States and is in the process of getting a new job then. Or should we wait until he has a job so we can put a specific employer down?

This info about the employment / affadavit of support is not "important" until the actual interview right?

I know that we could also have a co-sponsor but that shouldn't be necessary in our case.

hi there, thanks for your reply... yap thats true, MA is the state of residence. What does "super slow" mean? Like in weeks, months...? For right now all I do is look at other peoples timelines here on this page, and they vary quite a bit. I guess as there is nothing we can do about it we just have to be patient and HOPE for the best :)

at the homepage you can search timelines and customize your search to show I-129F Texas service center timelines...good luck....seems you are well prepared, hope your fiancé can just send the petition as soon as he is home...maybe others here will see this and can comment on whether it is possible to start the petition somehow from Germany.

Timeline

The affidavit of support (I-134) doesn't need to be submitted until I-129F is approved,

and local (German) fiancee goes through K1 visa processing/interview.

If your petition is processed out of TSC, recently it has taken 5 to 7 months to approve

I-129F petitions for many.

As for you the application, you need to put whatever is accurate at the time of the filing.

Can he start looking for job now in US?
