My fiancé had her interview 7/14, we've been waiting on DHL or go2go to deliver the visa and K-1 sealed packet. I am not sure what "status updated" means ? Tinkering with server ? EM-MNL

A new "status update date" simply means somebody touched your case file on that day. It being in Ready mode indicates it's still open for review.

So 'Ready' could mean anything, what are the magic words uttered when the Visa has cleared and where would I see that on CEAC or EM dashboard ? Sorry, but it is not obvious to me

Ceac status will be updated after the interview to a combination of either of the following:

Ready >> AP >> Issued

or Ready >> AP >> Ready >> AP >> Issued

Once update to Issued, give it about 3-5 business days if in Manila, additional 1-3 days if outside Manila. By the way, are you checking using IV on the ceac tracker? https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx

Instead of Ready the status will say Issued. Normally from Ready it goes to Administrative processing for few hours or a day and then it will change to Issued.

IV is Immigrant Visa. Another option is NIV (Non-IV) on the dropdown menu. Keep checking on IV for update.

Although, some folks did mention before that their ceac case updates are in NIV, which is most likely an admin error only in updating the ceac system.

Ok, understand, I just checked that link under IV and NIV and I'll be using it.

If you're seeing new update dates on the IV, you can keep checking on IV only. No need to check both.
