Someone asked me but I have no answer, always

delighted at learning.....The embassy kept their PP

after issuing 221G to file I 601 & gave them DHL info

to get PP....I was stumped because that comes I

thought after waiver decision....they are not from a

mena country....personally I think it was a mistake,

but ok one...if approved they don't have to go drop

it off....anyone had such exp. this happened at end

of interview...No negative replies.thank U

Never hear of them keeping passport. Getting the waiver takes months, and they have ur passport. Wow!

um.. that doesn't sound right, I went through the waiver process and the CO never took my passport. It wasn't until after waiver was approved and i went for a follow up interview that i was told to hand over my passport. There is some missing information here. Are you sure you didn't misinterpret what the person asked.

Nope , I thought it weird , they interviewed gave

her 221G to file 601 waiver, her atty did a great

one but, she said they kept her PP and gave her

dHL info sheet and a little green receipt, that's

since summer, her atty says at times that happens

by mistake, never the less weird...they do change

procedures often it seems

You can ask for them to return your Passport.
