Interview Questions

I have a question. Why would with my wife need to bring a cenomar when we are already married?

She needs her CEMAR (advisory on marriage). She can secure the doc at the NSO. Also, the interview questions are pretty basic. The petitioner's date of birth, his job, when you first met. They didn't ask me to present anything. None. Not the cemar, nor our photos. My interview with the American consul took 2 minutes. Good luck!

Ok, so I checked the pdf from the link that Hank posted.. Where does it say a Cenomar is needed (under what number)? All I see is the marriage contract part, which we have..

They ask for the CENOMAR/CEMAR. In my case, we were married in te US and I didn't register our marriage with the PH embassy so I only got a CENOMAR.

I saw other girls there who were told to go to NSO to get a CENOMAR because they didn't give USEM a copy.

In the first link, the Cenomar is requested because it's a K1/K2 interview correct? We're already married so that doesn't apply to us.

In the second link, number 4 does not say we need to bring a Cenomar. All number 4 says is to bring evidence/proof of termination of a prior marriage.

Anyways, we were married in Olongapo City, Philippines.

Hi.Cr1 here.Got married in Bacolod. Please trust everybody here when they say you need a cemar/cenomar (marriage advisory).Got interviewed on friday and the nice filipina pre screener asked for it.She said while smiling "If you were really married only once,Can i see your cenomar?"Because this cenomar/advisory on marriages lists all the previous marriages the applicant has had.Vj members have already reminded you to bring it plus i was asked for it july 18th. ;)

From reading the other entries, from those who have gone before you and have witness or been subject to the requirement at the interview for a CENOMAR, it's advisable to secure a CENOMAR so you are prepared to answer that requirement. If you feel it is not warranted, then I can only say GOOD LUCK.

Married or single (18 years old and above), its best to obtain a CEMAR/CENOMAR.

To get the CEMAR (Advisory on marriages), you need to fill out the request/application for CENOMAR.

I had the CEMAR during my interview but the consul didn't ask for it. There were 2 other married applicants who got 221g because they were asked for the CEMAR. Better be prepared! :)

Thank you everyone for your help. I'll make sure to have my wife bring her CENOMAR just in case.

Has anyone here done a K3? My wife and I just found out about this. Can someone please explain how this works?

K3 is obsolete.

K-3 is still listed on the USCIS website, they don't make any notation about it being obsolete.
