BTW for those who want to know everything they ask, anyone who has not been sleeping for the last 6 years knows that Barack Obama is the US President. But how many know that Joe Biden is the Vice President? Candy did not know. But the counselor told her not to worry because that was an unfair question.

They asked my fiancée that question too, she didn't know either.

Is Manila the only place where the CFO seminar can be done? Not offered in other major cities? And don't you get the sticker upon completion?

There is Manila and Cebu, you get a sticker upon completion if you already have your visa, otherwise you only get the certificate.

Info on CFO in my link

CFO is given in Cebu and Manila only. You can get your sticker at Cebu, Manila or at NAIA Airport.

If you have completed your interview and you have your visa with you when you take the CFO class you can get your sticker placed in your passport on that day.

Petitioners are NOT allowed to attend both the seminar and one-on-one with the CFO counselor. Not sure though if you can even enter the CFO building as well. Chaperons (family & friends) can't, and I didn't see any foreigner inside the building when I had mine last year.

There is a non-aircon seating area in the basement garage where you can wait. I was also allowed to sit in the first floor waiting area while my wife was waiting for the sticker to be issued.

My fiance doesn't have a visa yet, but he was planning to just take the CFO class. Is that possible to attend CFO without a visa? Also, if he completes the class and gets a certificate, once we get the visa, do we have to set up another appointment with CFO in Manila to get the sticker? or can it be just a walk in since it is only getting a sticker? Thanks

Why not just wait in the nearest restaurant or coffee shop and go back when she's done?

You can also arrange an appointment to get the sticker with the CFO office at NAIA directly.

Yes he can complete CFO without having the visa, CFO will issue a certificate upon completion. Once he has the visa he can simply return to CFO with his passport and certificate to get the sticker (and P400), no appt needed.

Thank you so much! So all he has to do is walk in CFO and bring his passport and certificate, but I thought the 400 fee should have been already paid when attending the class. When he has to pick up the CFO sticker once the visa is released, does he have to pay that fee again?

Also can CFO deny a sticker? What would be reasons why they would deny someone? Like for instance, what if my fiance doesn't know the answer to those questions they would ask?

So this would be possible, like prior to departure, I can just get the sticker at the airport?

He needs to schedule for a class online. Fee is paid after the seminar, no additional payments needed for the sticker

These are the best instructions if you want to use NAIA to get your CFO sticker (after you have finished your class either Cebu or Manila prior to your flight).

If you have the certificate there is no reason not to issue the sticker. If you are talking about not passing the seminar, yes they can deny you the sticker, thus not leaving the Phils... so have everything listed and know the answers.

Follow the info for CFO in my link below.
