Renewed Letter of Intent to Marry

hi all!

have all my requirements ready...thinking of missing something...ive heard my friend who is preparing this...and i dont have this renewed letter of intent to marry coz it was not in the list...does anybody here done with their interview and had added this letter as one of their requirement???

They almost always ask for it in Vancouver. Depends on the embassy. It's not that hard to prepare. Just date and address a new one and have you and your fiance both print one and sign it.

Yeah.. the request for it is usually in the appointment letter in Packet 4...

It is almost always asked for... but it only needs to be from the USC...

it was just too late like we had already our papers together...i just recieved his package..and here comes the missing one...anyway will tell my fiance about making it and mail that piece of paper...sigh! its ok..how about scan that paper and email then i will just print it..is this ok???

No, you'll need an original signature. Just have your fiance mail it to you.

Ehssa, If you remember the ongoing argument in the Manila Embassy thread about the NOA2 expirations and the "routine" vs. "automatic" extensions beyond the NOA2 expirations, this is the purpose of the updates letter of intent to marry. Basically take the same letters from both of you that were included with the original petition and change to the current date and new signatures. This lets the CO know both of you are still free to marry and still have the intent to marry. Ken

Does it hurt if you include it and they don't ask for it ??? As the saying goes.... "Better Safe Then Sorry" because if you get a RFE that will cost you 30-60 days in delay of your approval, and if they ask for it in your interview and you don't have it...you have to reschedule the interview...more money and time...etc... "Better Safe Then Sorry"

Well I've always used the "Bury Them With Info" addititude hasn't failed me yet..

Like we are gathering all the paperwork.. for her interview.. I'm going to include all 4 pieces of evidence that the I-134 calls..for.. Why ? because I can..and I want no questions and delays.... I'm also sending Originals and copies..of everything..even my Birth Cert.. You have to realize..Some of these countries we are dealing with don't necessarily follow their own guidelines..plus some like to make alittle problem a big one because they want a bribe..

Yes we are dealing with all this now.. Right now there is a New Law as of Jan 1 that Moldova Citizens need a Visa to go to Romania for the interview(but it fully states in the Visa annex that they don't need a invitation letter..but they are demanding one for bribes).. Well if you bribe the embassy workers you can get it in a day..if not a week or more..Same with the Police records... This is actual normal business there... But luckily Veronica's Father is a cousin of someone high up the food chain in the Gov.. and he is getting her a 90 visa....

I guess the moral of my long windiness is...Supply everything..if you think it's a gray area...still supply it, your not working with the US Gov.. or can run home quick and get something... You forget something and it could cost you weeks..
