NOA2 Approval Notice, valid until August 23th, but Interview Oct. 6???

Hi all!

So in the months between receiving our interview date and the actual interview, my fiance and I have been struggling not to stress over little things, simply because there is nothing more for us to do but wait. In pouring over our documents, I noticed on our NOA2, there is a section where it says:

Approval Notice

Valid from 04/24/2014-08/23/2014

Our interview is on October 6th. Is this something I should be worried about??? Is our petition technically EXPIRED? Trying not to freak out.

All that we are and all that will be we dedicate to the One who brought us together

Timeline:

K-1 Journey:

Petition sent: 03/27/2014

Interview date!!! 10/06/2014

AOS:

Packet received at Chicago Lockbox: 2/2/2015

EAD approved! 2/26/2015

AP approved! 2/26/2015

Green card received!! 09/24/2015

ROC: 

I-751 sent off to CSC: 7/25/2017

NOA1: 7/27/2017

Filed Inquiry into Biometrics status: 9/18/2017

10 Year Green Card Approved!!! 10/22/2018

 

Next Stop, Citizenship!

Dont worry, that is normal.

Consulate extend the petition automativally.

My noa2 expired on february 2013, and I had my interview on march 18 , 2013 without problem.

They say that noa2 expire in 4 months but consulate extend it until one year, so dont worry , you will be ok.
