Ok so we found out the problem - we sent our AOS packet on 7th May BUT it wasn't scanned in until 12th June!!!! That's 26 working days to just scan the ****ing thing into the system. What a joke! Well at least we know what the hold up is... And still we wait!

WHAT!!! Did you ask what the issue was, thats just crazy.... i would have asked for a supervisor and then asked them to did a supervisor review or to approve an expedite....!

I finally got the blasted email and I STILL CANT pay the AOS fee. Why cant even one step be simple?

USCIS

1-130 received 12/6/13

NOA 1: 12/9/13

NOA 2: 5/20/14

NVC

Case Number assigned: 6/20/14 (called and operator to find out, still unable to log in)

FINALLY able to log in, DS-261 available: 7/7/14

DS-261 completed: 7/7/14

AOS Fee Invoiced : 7/9/14

AOS Fee Paid: 7/9/14

AOS Fee shows as paid in CEAC: 7/11/14

AOS packet sent: 7/11/14 (via FedEx, guaranteed delivery by Monday, 7/14/14)

AOS packet delivered (per FedEx tracking): 7/14/14

IV Invoiced and paid: 7/14/14

IV Invoice shows as paid and DS-260 available: 7/15/14

DS-260 submitted: 7/15/14

IV packet sent: 7/17 (via FedEx overnight, guaranteed delivery by Friday, 7/18)

You sent your AOS package on May 7th and NVC scanned it on June 12th!? :dead: It took more than a month!? :wow:

It usually takes about 2-4 days for NVC to scan a package from the receiving date. :wacko:

Did you send it by regular mail (non-express) from overseas? :huh2:

What does this means .. I am shocked I just saw this :S is it something wrong with it ?

It means that ur case is completed which u already know :) ppl have been lately checking ceac website before calling because this is a sign of case complete!

Nope - from Denver, CO!

Nothing surprises me any more with this ridiculous, hellish journey. NVC couldn't be any less helpful if they tried. They never put us through to a supervisor. So today we just got told - you have to wait 30 business days (from the 12th June) and they hung up on us. That was after repeat calling for 2 hours and getting a busy signal.

By the time we get through this, we'll probably be married 2 years and will be needing a IR-1 rather than a CR-1.

USCIS (239 days):

04.18.2013 - NOA1

12.13.2013 - NOA2 via email; I-130 approved. Shipped to NVC

NVC (274 days):

12.30.2013 - Arrived at NVC

01.27.2014 - Received case no. & IIN

02.07.2014 - Completed & submitted DS-261 form online

02.13.2014 - Paid AOS bill

02.18.2014 - AOS showing as 'paid'

03.18.2014 - Invoiced for IV bill (finally!)

Got an email from NVC about an hour ago with an invoice to pay my AOS fee...

Tried to log in and still getting the error message "This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately." same as yesterday.

Thankfully I read the wiki so I know not to freak out, hopefully I'll be able to pay my fees soon so we can keep this ball rolling

Sadly Nvc is taking almost this much time with the only difference that IV package and ds260 both take 30 days together since they both are part of the same package. But yeah 30 days to IV invoice and 30 days to review AOS is quite true.
