Hey i am new to VisaJourney and just updated my timeline. My case is at nvc and i am waiting for IV fee invoice. I filled out my ds-261 on 10th of June and then acidentally clicked on it again which now shows as incomplete. We called nvc next day or so and they said not to touch it again so it still shows incomplete on my profile however i do have the receipt showing completed. Now i am really really really worried as its been about 25 days and IV fee has still not be invoiced. Could it be because of the ds-261 showing incomplete even though it was submitted once. Really worried and hoping someone here will help out.

When I filled the DS-261 June 4th I got a confirmation saying its been completed, when I clicked on it the following day to correct an error, it showed incomplete until I submitted again on June 5th, when I called NVC, the rep told me it was completed on their system June 5th. You should call NVC on monday and ask about the status of your DS-261. If its showing incomplete on your profile on CEAC that means its not completed on NVC system. Please correct me if am wrong.

It was sent from overseas via Royal Mail, but of course they had to hand it off to USPS. :/ Here's hoping they deliver it monday. Its frustrating to just be waiting on it arriving, knowing you then have to wait for them to process it. I'm ready for this whole thing to be finished!!

Thanks Soloenta. Fingers crossed!

Oh ok I understand sorry but no worries they are very good they will redeliver for sure. :) Good luck and congratulations on your

Yes but I asked them that and they said they received it on June 10th and there was no need to submit again. But it still worries me to see ds261 status showing incomplete with no iv fee invoice yet :(

There is no reason they tell you, it could be simply because they subject people with certain names which is frankly an awful practice in this age of technology.

This process is very inhumane to say the least. If you want to do AP than sure start on it when we file application and it can run in the background but their process freezes the whole application. My case was F2A and my priority dates have retrogressed now. Luckily I became citizen otherwise I was sure to loose the window that got opened in F2A category. Still I am dealing with much slower NVC which was much faster 6 months back.

I agree, with you they say that they do all the background work at USCIS and investigate but do they really and if so why in all that is good do they have to put people in AP unless USCIS messed up if not there is no reason to put people in AP.

Hi Everyone,

My husband and i have been at the NVC since April 8th, and i am a bit worried about my PCC cause of the expiration date, it says on the forms valid until July 22,2014... and with the NVC's ridiculous long waiting time and checklists these days you never know, (we waited 33 days to be able to pay the IV fee )!

On the immigrant Visa Checklist Consular Section,U.S. Consulate Casablanca it says Police certificates are valid for one (1) year from the date they were issued. Has anyone ever gotten a checklist for expired PCC ? i got my PCC back when my NOA1 got approved but since they took so long it expired (3 months validity) but now i am worried about getting another checklist for the IV package after getting the most unfair AOS checklist last week...

Are you saying your PCC is only good for 3 months and it's expired? The Embassy doesn't care how long it's valid for in Morocco or Egypt as it is in my case they choose how long it's valid for. So if you have 9 months since your NOA1 your good if not you need to get a new one. Base if it's valid with what the Embassy which is a year then renew only if it's been over a year you have had the PCC. If it's close to expire meaning the year validity is coming up then renew for the Embassy.

Hope I didn't confuse you. (F) (L) (F)

AP means they need to dig into your past more, it happens more in certain countries like Egypt and Pakistan not sure which country is worse or not. They don't really need a reason so anyone from any country can be put in AP. :( My biggest fear and the one that

keeps me awake at night since they don't have to tell you a thing and can last for ever. :(

Soloenta,

viewing you posts here for some time and looking at your timeline . I hope and pray with all my heart you will not go through AP .

It really pisses me off that they have a case from a certain country and for whatever reason they have to do a bigger background check.

My goodness why dont they(USCIS) do that from the beginning of the process and from your timeline they had enough time to do a research even for your great great great great grandmother.

That really sucks. They have the technology and the power just frickin do it.

Weekend alone + constant frustration = video

So, ever since I created the form to be added/updated on my spreadsheet (link to that in my signature below), I have been getting errors from people left and right and it's starting to get real annoying :P I thought it was an easy enough form to fill out, but apparently people don't read what I think are clear instructions (and this may sound a little harsh, but I can see why some of these people are getting checklists at NVC). Anyways, so I had some spare time, so I made a video on how to properly fill out my form.

I suggest everyone who will be requesting an add/update in the future to view it here. Make sure to put the video quality as the highest and expand the window, so everything can be clearly seen.

If anything, you can hear the voice behind these posts :jest:

Really worried, just checked the tracking on our IV/AOS packet. The USPS attempted delivery yesterday, but with it being the 4th, the NVC was shut. So now will they try to deliver again today or tomorrow, or will it be sent back to me? This is getting ridiculous. :/

Same thing happened with mine last month, they attempted delivery on a Saturday. I was worried, but they just tried again and it was delivered on Monday (next business day).
