Hello to all , It seems my DS-261 was lost in cyber space!! I completed my ds-261 on July 9th and it still hasn't been received. I just called NVC and spoke with Nikki who was very polite and helpful. She said that they should have received it by now , and that she would pass it on to a supervisor!!. After reading many post it really seems that the DS-261 is a BIG PAIN IN THE ###. I will let everyone know what the supervisor says.

When you received the checklist for the AOS, was it via e-mail or by phone call? Did they tell you which date they checklist you for the AOS?

I received the AOS checklist email on the 15th. The checklist itself was generated either on the 14th or 15th because I talked to them on Friday the 11th after the review staff had gone home for the week end. At that point, IV had been approved on 10th and AOS was still waiting to be reviewed.

No , Im talking about the choice of Agent (ds-261) I understand that I will have to wait 30 business days for the IV bill to be invoiced , but only after my DS-261 is received , which they have no record of. I have my confirmation page and It also says completed on CEAC site.

I'm not surprised. They have not been working at 30 business days pace for at least 2 weeks.

Edit: It's actually pretty scary when you stop and consider the numbers. If my memory serves me right, they were working on May 30th scan dates just before the July 4th week end. Today they are sill on June 6th. So it's taken them 10 business days to work on 5 business days worth of scans. At this rate, it won't be long before it takes 60 business days to review anything.

Has this happened to anyone else? I received what i think is a false checklist yesterday asking for DS 261 Choice of Agent form to be filled out by the beneficiary. I filled this form back on 6/11. It shows it is completed on the website, and NVC agent confirmed it was received 6/11 and is now “under review”. Then why the checklist? Do they want people to resubmit and thus re-set the date for another 30-day count down?
