Thanks and do I get a separate notice with instructions for medical exam

They did not give us instructions only other than to say "do it before the interview". But each embassy may be different. I think Saylin has links in her Wiki. You can go to ustravel.gov (???) Not sure...but they have a drop down menu for each embassy somewhere in there. I'll try to find it for you.

You're a saint. Thank you for the kind words. Hopefully more people will try this and have a better experience.

I'm so close to the end... but I am thinking about doing something like this... I'll be praying too.

. Yeah let me ask my husband to get help from the senator. Because our senator helped us a lot at uscis stage. Will see . I will let you guys know if the senator helps us. Till that we ll keep praying. :)

I mean absolutely no offense to you; this is 100% anger towards NVC. That is complete and utter BS that you got your IV invoice so quickly. You submitted the DS-261 almost a month later than LRKO, Lottry, me, and I'm sure many others, and you already have your IV fee paid before we get the invoice. It's one thing that NVC has the stupid procedure about people with lawyers getting both fees at the same time... but then to arbitrarily award people special timelines. That makes no sense at all. I work at a call center, I'm extremely nice on the phone, I complained nicely but firmly twice, nothing happened. Guess I got the wrong agents. :wow:

Ok, rant over. I'm happy your process is moving along spaghettikat. Enjoy some of that LA sunshine for me.

I completely understand! I'm extremely grateful that my process is moving along but it isn't fair that others, yourself included, have been waiting so long. I accidentally re-submitted my DS-261 on July 5th because it showed incomplete. That's what I called to complain about. The lady wasn't the nicest person to me, but I don't know what happened that softened her up to speak to a supervisor. And then she came back and told me it would be approved that day.

My heart goes out to you. This process is miserable. I hope it picks up for you. :(

Well, I have talked to three supervisors (Octavio, Ike, and Syliva) and asked them to unlock the IV fee invoice. :dead:

All of them told me that they couldn't do anything for me because the system doesn't allow them to unlock the IV fee invoice. :bonk:

However, I didn't accidentally re-submit the DS-261. Maybe it's better to re-submit it on purpose and call NVC to complain about it? :no:

Maybe a supervisor can unlock the IV fee invoice in the event of re-submitting the DS-261? :huh2:

OH MY!

If only the Wizard of OZ could intervene and send an army of munchkins (or monkeys) to shore up NVC ranks.

Ooops! I've done now. Owls laden with checklists will start streaming down my chimney in a few hours. They'll work this Saturday just to do me this in-kind courtesy.

Not happy this morning.

Received a checklist for our AOS today. Very minor thing but the lawyer should have picked up on this. 13.a.1 the wrong figure was put in. Needed to be Line 22 from Tax Return and they put in Adjusted Income but this is only the case if on the EZ and we were overseas so didn't file the 1040ez but rather the 1040. Correct amount put in for 2012 but not 2013. Aaaaaaggghhhh!

Will get this off, via lawyer, on Monday but this could have been avoided.

As we still have to wait for IV documents to be reviewed hopefully it won't set us back too much.

On a good note got through to NVC first time and spoke to a nice lady called Anne.

I am SO sorry to hear this. It's such a sinking feeling when you hear the word 'Checklist' from NVC. Hopefully processing times improve in the next few weeks xx

Has anyone else got a checklist like this, on the first page addressed to my husband it states he must send the info to NVC, but on another page it says that he must send everything to me (the applicant) and it will be reviewed at the interview. This is also our second checklist (bless my husband) and it's definitely different from the first one.

The letter also states: "We have finished reviewing your case. We will tell you when we set an interview date for your case."

Does anyone know what this means. Must my husband send the docs to me or NVC, or both. We will phone NVC, but I thought I'd ask here, since they only open on Monday again. I'm hoping that this means they done and I'll get an interview soon!

This whole process is soul destroying and relationship wrecking. Not sure how much more I can take.

did you ask them that we will give the I864 form in interview.I got the checklist for that.Please let me know if it is possible........

No I didn't ask them for this. I think as its my second checklist and only a minor one they have decided I can just bring the corrected I-184 with me to the interview. But no, I didn't ask if I could do this.

This looks like the same thing I got and it is my understanding your husband needs to send the docs to you and you bring them to your interview. But if you are not sure you should call NVC and ask.

@MoBar65

Feels bittersweet... Until I see those words CASE COMPLETE... or an interview letter, I'm not 100% convinced.

@rpaterson

And now the added joy of having to bring the AOS documents to my interview. More sleep deprivation.

By the way, checklist emails are usually sent a week late and they have been scheduling interviews for August for the past two days (round 2). Call first thing on Monday. You might have an August interview scheduled already.

Brace yourself for the slowest weekend ever. I wouldn't mind trading places with you though. :thumbs:

PS. One more thing: check ceac and see if you got an N/A under AOS.
