Not happy this morning.

Received a checklist for our AOS today. Very minor thing but the lawyer should have picked up on this. 13.a.1 the wrong figure was put in. Needed to be Line 22 from Tax Return and they put in Adjusted Income but this is only the case if on the EZ and we were overseas so didn't file the 1040ez but rather the 1040. Correct amount put in for 2012 but not 2013. Aaaaaaggghhhh!

Will get this off, via lawyer, on Monday but this could have been avoided.

As we still have to wait for IV documents to be reviewed hopefully it won't set us back too much.

On a good note got through to NVC first time and spoke to a nice lady called Anne.

Oh sh*t! This is the exact same thing I got check listed for, so I can feel your pain. Sooooo many people (including those with lawyers) get this question wrong. Could it possibly be time for NVC to review how this question is written or the need for it at all? (since we submit the tax info via transcript or copies of 1040s).

Trying to look on the bright side that at least it is an easy fix and you can get it off to them on Monday. *hugs* (L)

Just got off phone w/ someone rude. Didnt get her name. She said both packages were UNDER review??? And right after saying that she said it might take upto 30 business days and there were no other updates on my case.

I am thinking her wording was wrong, because being under review is different than files being IN system FOR review...

Anyway. Since June 3rd scanners got updates this week, I look forward to next week for news :)

Hi Amanda

Thank you for your kind words. It is such a bummer! I feel really down and today is the last day Andy is here. He goes back to US tomorrow and we wanted to have such a nice family day. Must put this over my head.

I see from your timeline that they did review your checklist quite quickly which is good.

Have a good day my friend.

No, still waiting for them to review my check list unfortunately. Probably another couple of weeks waiting. But they have approved my IV docs, so that part is done.

Try to just relax and enjoy the rest of your weekend with your family.

I am crushed reading this!! I was really hoping for good news from you :/

Thanks Bobbie

I am SO fxxxxxg down about this. I know that the question is a bit misleading but isn't that what we paid $5,000 plus for a lawyer for. Our lawyer has been really good and is very knowledgeable so I really can't complain. Oh well. Must soldier on. Andy leaves for New York tomorrow so we should all try to enjoy today as best we can.

Have a good day

So good news and bad news:

Today we finally heard the long awaited words CASE COMPLETE!!!!!!!!!!

Obviously that's the good news. The bad news is that we got checklisted a second time for our AOS package! However, as it seems to only be a minor thing (I think our co sponsor made one or two errors on the I-184 form) they have decided to complete our case anyway and have asked us to re-do the I-184 and I will need to bring it with me to my interview.

So even though we have gotten a second checklist which could have delayed us another couple of months, they've given us the benefit of the doubt and completed the case provided I bring the corrected I-184 to my interview. In my mind this was a narrow escape as I'm sure if they wanted to they could have asked us to resubmit the AOS package a third time! I wonder if this is common for people who have already been through a checklist delay?

Anyway, I'm not complaining as we've finally got a case complete and now we're on to the next stage. However, I do now have the added worry of bringing the corrected I-184 to my interview and hoping there won't be a problem with it again. That is stress I could have done without!

So good news and bad news, but so happy for our case complete!!!! : )

Yay! Another September filer through! London interviews seem to be scheduled backwards so if you squeaked by you'll probably get early August (you filed earlier so you theoretically should be first in line). ANYWAY congrats!
