. I was thinking about the complaint last week. As I can remember after all the complaints ( including newyork times article about uscis delay)- uscis promised us that they will bring the processing time to 5 months and they did try. And Yes, we all got approval within 5-6 month frame. Nvc processing time should be 3-4 month but it seems like 5-6 months now. They should do something. Hope they will finish scanned dated June 6 by this week or else we will have to do something.

One of the main things that made our USCIS letter campaigns possible - and got us recognition from both USCIS and eventually the media - is that we had hard data to back up our claims. Monthly volume and trend reports, information from the AILA, internal government emails linking DACA and the I-130 backlog, etc. I think making a similar push with NVC would be difficult because all we have to go on are anecdotes from members here. NVC doesn't publish statistics like USCIS does. I'm not saying it's impossible or not worth a shot, but I do think it would be much harder to compose a compelling, factual argument to complain about how much worse things are now than a few months ago.

just called NVC, spoke to penny rather nice lady I just wanted to email address for my wife, she can't add anything. when I asked when the Ds261 be ready to fill out the answer was 20 BS days.

NVC got my case June 11th. entered in the system June 27th According to my calculations it will be July 25th before I can fill out the DS 261. It would be great if i could do it before the July 28 other wise i loose a whole month. heading home to be with the wife.

I got check listed for an incorrect I-864 as well as having to send in a copy of my wife's (sponsor) US birth certif. and proof of employment. I sent in all the documentation they asked for including the cover sheet, but I failed to notice they also asked me to send a copy of the letter they sent as well. Can I just mail that in separate and print my case number on the top right of each page as they required? Or will it really matter?

Don't bother, they should have in their systems what was wrong with the package.

Saylin, we already had my husbands interview in Montreal but are currently waiting for the I-601 waiver to be approved. But my ? to you is I checked CEAC website yesterday and the status date updated to July 10,2014 BUT the Case number added MTL 01 to the end so it now is MTLXXXXXXXXXX MTL 01. Do you know why they added MTL 01 to the end???

It's fine, that's normal. The end of my case number printed on my visa had a 01 at the end too. Nothing to worry about

so the stamp or seal on the marriage certificate has to be from the appropriate authority.... bureau of birth....the one i send is from place where we would get alllll our documents birth n death....i am not sure what the seal i had said said so i am going to send over the original today....i will hear from supervisor by next week....i hope they throw out the checklist.....anyone reading this please save urself the trouble and just send the original!

There is always a confusion between "original","true copy" and "certified original". Per my understanding, we can send either original (the only copy issued) or certified original copy to NVC. NVC does not accept True copy (which is essentially making a photocopy of original and having a true copy stamp or issuing authority).

thanks.....i think they should just remove the option of sending certified copy.... i regret not sending original...i had it on hand but i thought the certified copy should be fine....plus my husband is going to bring the original to the interview!!

as of now, it seems like it's taking 30 business days.

Right now they are working on June 3-4th cases.. My last checklist was scanned on June 20th.

Yes!! My AOS fee changed to N/A as well!! However dont have time to call the NVC today, hopefully this means a CC though :D I am so happy!!
