Will I need tax transcripts for interview, or will they accept copies of 1040s that I submitted and were approved at NVC?

Apologies if this has been covered somewhere else, but I can't find the answer.

My question is: Will I need to provide tax transcripts at interview?

I can provide copies of my tax returns and these have been accepted at NVC, however I am having trouble obtaining tax transcripts from the IRS website and there are no offices near me. I can call an 800 number, but before I go to too much trouble, I am wondering if I will definitely need these.

Background: I have lived in Australia for 12 years, have filed taxes, but owed no money as I have not earned any income in the US and earn less than the threshold to pay US tax on foreign income.

Can anyone who has been interviewed confirm the need for providing these. Thank you

No, you will not need the transcripts.

If necessary, the Consulate will accept copies of the tax forms and W2's.
