When was the medical done?

All you can do is wait until it ships maybe by end of week they will ship and you contact embassy next week. I highly doubt they will move the date so close to end of the month. They need time to revirew your file.

the medical was done around mid april, she almost was going to do the interview for the fiancee visa and at the last minute we cancelled the process right when I found out the CC on June 26th because obviously it's much better to do the CR1. the status is currently showing at NVC, it's still not shipped yet I think

I think the medical lasts for 6 months, correct ?

I am curious about the documents we need to take with to interview because all the originals are with NVC.

I understand it is good to take photocopies of those documents and most importantly the interview LETTER. Do we really need to carry other documents that NVC didn't request? Like the interview letter mentions Petitioner birth certificate but it is not clear if they really want to see it..do they?

If the petitioner's birth certificate was already submitted, it should be noted on the interview letter as not being needed for the interview. The letter lists all the civil documents needed for the whole process, but in most cases it should just serve to confirm that they have all those documents in their possession. Anything actually required at the time of interview will be marked with a different code on the interview letter.

The codes are a little confusing what is required are not. For starter both O and Y means the same thing.

Petitioner birth certificate is marked as F, meaning NVC doesn't need it. But there are bunch of other Fs too which doesn't apply to me like Adoption, marriage termination, court records etc.

Also it Petitioner marriage certificate is also marked as F but this is my own marriage and NVC has the original.

It is a little hard to say what documents they do require on bringing! Just like adoption records doesn't apply to me, does the petitioner birth certificate not apply to me as well or does it?

Mom took about three hours in total at the USEM in Kingston for her interview. When her number was called (#150) she went to the window and was asked

1. Who filed your petition

2. Have you ever traveled outside of the country (Jamaica).

Her fingerprints were taken.

She was asked to raise her right hand and asked if everything in her DS260 was the truth.

Then she was told that DHL will contact her to pick up her passport.

She had copies of all civil and AOS docs that were sent to NVC but she was not asked for anything other than her passport and medical.

This interview date I just can't wrap my head around. I missed the July cut off by one business day and I get get scheduled on the first day for the last dern business day of the month. I'm just gonna stay mad until the date changes or he's home. Whichever is first.

All I'm asking my Senator to do is get on the phone and put in a request for me. I actually heard back from Senator Franken's office not too long ago. Anyway, she said she would try. If it was illegal, I'm sure they would have had no problem telling me no.

Yes, k.dlg & urbangirluk are both at London Embassy. Both have PDs after mine, both had CCs after mine and both their interviews are before mine. We're all in London.

My interview letter said 24JUN2013 in the subject as well, we had CC on April 3 and interview on May 19 this year. No idea why that date is there but it's not relevant to your cases

Pretty sure that is the date of the FORM - meaning the last day that particular form letter was changed was 24Jun2013...

Julie and I passed through immigration at JFK about 3 hours ago. It was extremely easy. I'll write more later in the reviews - but we are so exhausted after our 26 hour flights from Australia that we are napping now!

_{I have a question (on behalf of someone else). A friend of mine was just approved for his IV through marriage. He has been married to his wife now for about three years but the petition was filed few months after marriage (wife was only a LPR at the time of filing but then updated to status to USC). Will he get a temp GC or perm since by the time the petition got approved they were beyond the two years?}

Its whatever their anniversary is at time of POE. So over 2 years you get 10 year card, under 2 year.
