Big Question?

Got interview date, but login at CEAC website say's following:

Your case is ready for you to schedule an interview at the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal. If you have already scheduled an interview appointment, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the Consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment.

Have already registered for courier service, Do we need to schedule appointment as well ? Was thinking NVC already did that. Or is it required. There were 2 options when registering. 1) make appointment and register for courier service. 2) Register for courier service only. I selected for number 2, since NVC letter listed interview date and time.

Now I know why it is called a Journey....

4/11/2014 - Case Number assigned

4/22/2014 - AOS packet sent

5/2/2014 - DS260 completed

5/11/2014 - Checklist for not putting N/A in section 3 of 864ez

6/23/2014 - Case Complete

6/30/2014 - CC email

8/13/2014 - Interview MTL.

My interview letter said 24JUN2013 in the subject as well, we had CC on April 3 and interview on May 19 this year. No idea why that date is there but it's not relevant to your cases

I have a question for you, my husband was approved at his interview on July 7, but we still have not received the passport... how long did it take for you guys?

It took 5 days for us -- interview was on a Monday and passport was at the depot ready for pickup that Friday. Have you received any updates from the courier yet? I would think it's coming anytime for you, most London filers have had theirs back in about a week after interview lately. Fingers crossed for you!

That's what I was thinking too, but the agent on the phone told me our CC was the 26th ... hmm.

Edit: Oh geez, I just realized they put 2013 and not 2014 ... what the hell? lol

How is that: This date is the P4 version-date. Every US government form has an issue date and an expiration date, you know.

Yeah, my best guess is that's the date they switched to an email form P4 instead of sending a mailed version, but the important bit is that it's not case-specific

Maybe it is the date they threw all our cases in the closet, where they sat until the transfers to the other processing centers, bc they had to make room, on their desks, for all those Deferred Action applications!!!! GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

I wish they would have hired more help before they made that rule!!!! Maybe then our loved ones would be here already!!!!

We are finally at a closer stage, but bc of the war, not even sure if my husband can get permission to go to Jersusalem, for the interview!! ((((((

God will give us what he sees best.

Thank you for the reply. No, we have not received any thing from the courier service.. such as an email or anything... He had his interview on Monday, July 7, and it's July 14, its been a week now.. still nothing yet.. its depressing for the husband and me... :/

My wife finally got her international passport back this past Thursday after it was renewed by the Russian government. She was told it would take 4 weeks, but it ended up being 5-1/2 weeks, though apparently it was approved back on June 24 as that's the effective date. I wish I knew whose desk it sat on for 16 days...

After getting the new passports, I e-mailed the Moscow embassy and asked they could move up her July 21 interview. I received an e-mail reply indicating that July 18 is the only open date/time, so I wrote back on Friday to say we would take it, and I asked if a new interview letter would be issued. We haven't received a reply, so I was wondering if anyone here has changed their interview date, and if they received a new letter with the revised date & time. I assume she'll need that to enter the embassy this Friday.

Also, I've been trying to register my stepson on ustraveldocs.com by creating a profile for him, but it keeps giving me an error message "Your request cannot be processed at this time. The site administrator has been alerted." Has anyone else experienced this? I wrote to the embassy to let them know and seek guidance.

You may be onto something! I even have it on my documents here at work (Gov't office), but no expiration date. Some of our documents definitely need to be updated!!

so I guess it was our package that was sent on Friday!! because it was delivered this morning India time.. and the CEAC status changed to READY!!

Mine had 2013 as well but I just chalked it up to an agent being too lazy to change the date of the letter since we all know they use form letters...LOL

Not gonna lie, I thought it referred to my CC and thought they accidentally put 2013. Weird how my date fell around the issue date which made me confused.
