It clearly states to fill out every section. We put n/a since Rida doesn't have a middle name. Would hate to get and RFE because of that.

On most government forms NMN is used (means - No Middle Name). For UCIS - who knows.

If you submit your papers with a Cover Letter, you can mention that you have no middle name

and marked NMN, N/A, None or whatever you decide to use. Cover letters are also good to

list all of the attachments you enclosed with you papers.

Best,

Ninotchka

I would NOT leave it blank. We wrote N/A for my fiance because he doesn't have a middle name either. I wouldn't leave anything blank (like someone said, it's not worth a possible RFE).

Other documents specifically request you to write N/A.

I don't believe anyone here has received an RFE for leaving the middle name field blank since they don't have a middle name. I didn't get an RFE on either of my petitions.

I put None for my fiance, but as a 'just in case' i put it like this:

-None-

That way, in some off chance that I had someone stupid or who was a smart a**, it would be clear I meant he didn't have one!

Don't overthink it, I'm sure they get it all the time.

I don't have both family name and middle name, so I put NONE on both columns with all capital. I think the USCIS is not that stupid that they would put your name as NONE when they do data entry. Relax. But then again, my fiance sent a supplement along with it to explain that I do not have a family nor middle name, hence the NONE.
