Will I receive a confirmation letter from NVC?

Hi all,

My husband has sent in the AOS and IV package to NVC last week and was delivered on Tuesday (confirmed with tracking number). It's been a week now and neither me or my husband has received any email or letter that NVC confirms that they have our package/documents.

Does NVC normally send any sort of confirmation to the applicants?

Could it take longer then 30 working days to hear from NVC?

I would appreciate for some advise or answers.

No there's no confirmation they received anything. If all goes well with IV and AOS review accept in about 30 days you will have case complete and the email comes about a week after actual case complete.

You can call in about 3 weeks. And beware of false checklist.

Hi IlonaLannon, for my docs it took them approx 1 week from delivery date to the date they show as received on the system. It's currently taking 3-4 weeks from the date they show as received on their system to be reviewed, so about 4-5 weeks in total from the date of delivery.

They don't issue any emails or letters to confirm this. The only way to find out if it's been allocated to your case yet is to call them directly.

You might find it useful to join the NVC thread, it's all people in the same situation, but at different stages so you will find a wealth of useful information in there. The wiki which dwheels referred to is linked in the very first post. The thread closed each month and a new one open so it's currently called NVC filers june 2014. It will be a bit overwhelming at first because there are almost 300 pages just now, it's for this reason it the thread changes each month, but you wouldn't have to read every post, definitely the first post by Saylin, then just pick up on the last 2 or 3 pages for now. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/498764-nvc-filers-june-2014/

Hi, we are also waiting for some communication from NVC . My husband filled AOS n IV two weeks ago. We called at NVC also according to them they cannot say anything before 30 days. Hoping that we will receive something this week.
