I am a dual citizen of USA and Hong Kong, do i need to include it on my I-129F?

Do you think it will affect my chances that my fiance (Korean) will get a visa?

2/3/2007: Sent out I-129F package to Nebraska Service Center.

2/9/2007: Check cashed.

2/15/2007: NOA 1 and at California Service Center.

5/16/2007: Touched!

5/17/2007: TOUCHED AGAIN!

5/29/2007: Called USCIS (RFE trick). Operator said APPROVED on 5/16/2007.

5/29/2007: Touched (probably from operator checking my case status).

6/1/2007: NVC completed my application, will forward to SEO.

6/11/2007: Recieved packet 3 via email.

I am a Dual Citizen and I never disclosed it and I never even saw a place to put that on the application.

Doesn't the US 'not recognise' dual citizenship anyway...? In which case, there wouldn't be much point putting down the other nationality if they just consider you 'one of their own' and ignore the fact that you claim citizenship of another country too...

That, by the way, is just my guess - thinking 'aloud' - rather than anything even approaching a definite answer!

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

The U.S. does not accept dual citizenship. They assume you are just a U.S. citizen.

Other countries allow dual citizenship, such as Canada where I am from.

Aug. 21/08... Interview - PASSED!!!!

Sept. 2/08... Oath Ceremony

Sept. 5/08... Sent in Voter Registration Card

Sept. 9/08... SSA office to change status to "U.S. citizen"

Oct. 8/08... Applied in person for U.S. Passport

Oct. 22/08... U.S. Passport received

Apr. 6/05... DS-230, Part I faxed to Vancouver Consulate

May 26/05... K-2 Interview - APPROVED!!!!

Sept. 5/05... Entered U.S.

Sept. 7/05... I-485 & I-131 sent to CLB

Feb. 22/06... AOS Interview - APPROVED!!!!! (Passport NOT stamped)

Dec. 4/07... I-751 sent to NSC

May 23/08... 10-Yr. PR Card arrives in the mail

Mar. 22/11.... N-400 sent to AZ

June 27/11..... Interview - PASSED!!!

July 12/11..... Oath Ceremony

DCCY, all you have to do is put that you are a US citizen in your application and they won't bother you. They'll assume you're a US citizen regardless of the location you were born at.

02/05/07 - I-130 sent to NSC

05/03/07 - NOA2

05/10/07 - NVC receives petition, case # assigned

08/08/07 - Case Complete

09/27/07 - Interview, visa granted

10/02/07 - POE

11/16/07 - Received green card and Welcome to America letter in the mail

Removing Conditions

07/06/09 - I-751 sent to CSC

08/14/09 - Biometrics

09/27/09 - Approved

10/01/09 - Received 10 year green card

U.S. Citizenship

03/30/11 - N-400 sent via Priority Mail w/ delivery confirmation

05/12/11 - Biometrics

07/20/11 - Interview - passed

07/20/11 - Oath ceremony - same day as interview
