I am from American and my fiance is from England. He's 33 and when he was in his early 20's he got in some trouble for fighting and was in prison for about 13 months. That was over 10 years ago. Since then he hasn't beenin any trouble would that stop his K-1 Visa from going through?

If it occured when he was older than 18, it will certainly complicate the process regardless of how long ago. Familiarize yourself with the waiver process and be prepared to file one if you do indeed petiton. An initial consultation with a competant immigration attorney may be in your future.

When it comes to criminal records there are many things to look at. First of all was the SO sentenced under a First Offender Act, part of an deferred adjudication program...there are many possibilites. They will also look to see what class felony it was. Like FWAGUY suggested, may need a consultation with an attorney on that one.
