today after one year they called him and they told him to fill ds-260 send it to nvc then get ready ur new medical and 4 picture we will call u again for interview.why they r calling him for interview is there is anything to worry about?

They usually call all long term AP people back in. It can be as simple as yes we have updated your medical and you will get your visa. Or they will tell you what they have discovered during AP

prior - he submitted a DS-230 and it's not used anymore - must to have a DS-260 to be documentarily qualified to be issued a visa.

his medical is expired - must have new one to be documentarily qualified to be issued a visa.

i suggest getting a new police report [since the last one has expired] and

you submit a new I-864 set to your beneficiary [since a tax year has already transpired]

They called him and they didn't ask him any documents only medical and ds260 and he have to take all this stuff with him at Islamabad for his biometrics .they didn't ask anything else and they told him that bring all this stuff with u we will tell u right away about ur visa
