Our visa was denied. 2 trips(with proof)....9 calling cards(only showing the pin and back of the cards) 4 emails ( printed) a week since March.....maybe 10 or more letters and cards...pictures....

She didn't get a chance to show her ring and receipt.

They said they needed more emails and phone cards. What more do they want?

The good news is that I have enough email to make their fax machine run out of ink and some Yahoo chats a few hours long but not very practical to fax and some a little sexual.

In the end does it all add up to their opinion? Isn't a stack of correspondence plus all the other things proof of ongoing relationship?

Others said I had nothing to worry about.....

They kept her passport so there still is a chance.

I feel bad for you, but was your visa DENIED? Or do you require more proof? There is a huge difference.

I got a feeling you will show the additional evidence, then they will issue the visa.

Good luck to you.

K1 Visa Process long ago and far away...

02/09/06 - NOA1 date

12/17/06 - Married!

AOS Process a fading memory...

01/31/07 - Mailed AOS/EAD package for Olga and Anya

06/01/07 - Green card arrived in mail

Removing Conditions

03/02/09 - Mailed I-751 package (CSC)

03/06/09 - Check cashed

03/10/09 - Recieved Olga's NOA1

03/28/09 - Olga did biometrics

05/11/09 - Anya recieved NOA1 (took a call to USCIS to take care of it, oddly, they were helpful)

Hi Barry,

It feels like January is a really bad month for visas, either because they are all drunk from a week of russian holidays, or all the consuls at the embassy are new / inexperienced. Was she given the denial form (221g) or they just sent her for internal review, like mine? I would call the embassy on their paid phone number and ask them what they want, they will tell you if they need more evidence. I think the number is 1888-222-5673 (1.75$ a minute).

Good luck to all of us,

Mike.

Sorry to hear about the denials. But I think there is more at play than just what time of the month it is and what CO you get. Other factors contribute to painting a solid relationship. Such as the age between USC petitioner and the Russian beneficiary. -AK, The tone of the conversation during the interview if it isn't all love and "stuff". -Slim. The CO's aren't that stupid; they are trying to prevent the divorce after immigration benefit scenario the best they can. I still give them benefit of the doubt. Remember, the burden of proof lies with the applicants seeking a visa. Edited by Satellite

Our age is difference is 7 years. You are right ....I think she didn't do so good on the questions...she was nervous so she didn't answer with love in her eyes.

I'll write later have to print 500 emails.......

It was not a denial but you have to show more proof. My fiance went through last week and was approved with less evidence than you had, a bigger age difference, only one trip on my part.

I am sorry to say it would appear to me it was just the luck of the draw for you as to who you got at the embassy.

Barry2005. I'm so sorry that your Moscow interview ended with questions of more proof. My Maria was in the same room as your girl and I hope she made a difference by her smile when they approved her. I can't make any sense of the process as most come fully prepared but some still get asked for more info. I know that this is just a small detour! Please take comfort in knowing that love will prevail:))))

Your approval WILL HAPPEN!!!!!

Sorry to hear of your situation, but I don't think all is lost quite yet.

I would just send them what they are asking for. You can always black out any parts of the emails you don't want them to read.

Just print off a lot more emails and send them in.

Good luck.

Barry,

I am very sorry to hear of your situation! And I realy understand how your girl feels...

Spam them with the e-mails and send them all of your photographs. Looks like it is never "too much" of proof.

I am optimistic:) Olga is staying in Moscow and will take more evidence in herself. Our lawyer advised us to try and get everything done before the weekend. To that end we are printing 500 emails and every yahoo chat. ( well maybe not all:)) She will give them everything and then we wait.
