returning to US/ timeline

My wife and I have been in her home country together (Turkey) for 15 months while I have been working as a photojournalist in neighboring Iraq. We will be going back to the US next month after our re-entry permit arrives at the consulate here in Istanbul. We've maintained our residence in the US although my wife has not returned during this time.

Question is, will we have to make up for the 15 months out of the country once we return to count towards the 30 months of continued residency to qualify for naturalization? We have been married for 3 years, living in the US all but the time here in Turkey.

Could have sworn I replied to this.

I believe there are certain circumstanes where it can count, US Military or US Mutinational sending you abroad.

Fascinated to know how she managed to maintain PR status.

I thought the Consulate issus visa's, you make it sound like it is coming frome somewhere else.
