Hi all,

I have a question about the Affidavit of Support. My fiance lives in the UK, and I may be spending the next few month with him in the UK until his K1 comes through *fingers crossed*. My mother is going to be our co-sponsor, and I'm pretty sure she makes enough for a house of 4 (I checked the poverty guidelines).

However, I read that some people have been denied when the petitioner had inadequate finances.

Has anyone had this problem who's gone through London?

Now I'm starting to worry that if I'm not here working we might be denied!

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks!

I don't remember reading such a thing from a UKer, but I guess anything is possible.

I don't remember reading much problems in this area. Seems more issues come up with the AOS in regards to work and such. Maybe someone else will have better answers! Good luck!

While I didn't spend more than 5 weeks in the UK the summer while our K1 petition was processing, my mother cosponsored us (I was pushing the poverty guidelines at the time, hooray for a salary now). We had no problems and they didn't even bat an eyelash at the cosponsor forms.

So long as the paperwork is in order and all the numbers are right, you'll be fine.

Good luck!
