Am I eligible for expedite at NVC and Embassy?

With a deep sorrow I am discussing the situation. Last night at Karachi, Pakistan there was a major terrorist attack at airport. This is actually my work place. 20 persons died including four from my department. Four others are shoot dead at the entrance of my office. While the terrorists used the door of my office to enter there. The operation continued for at least 12 hours resulted in a huge damage and loss to property and organization.

I am v.upset and sad and feeling insecure. Should I report this to NVC and put a request for expedite on humanity and safety grounds.

If I am eligible how can I proceed? Please guide me.

state the reason for the request.

I saw it on the news shortly after it happened. I am SO sorry that you lost people. It's truly a heartbreaking situation

What I have read on eligibility criteria at USCIS site, which is same for NVC, this situation can be covered under the point of "humanitarian grounds for beneficiary".

I think I do not need to give additional proofs as NY Times , CNN, BBC ..... published and broad casted this news.A copy of my employment card is already submitted with civil documents.

Only a brief statement of reason to expedite will be sufficient. Am I right? The link of this news can be included in email.

In my opinion you are not eligible because many people living in Karachi and around airport area including me & this is routine attacks in Karachi !

Mentally upset is not an excuse because lots of husband and wife are mentally upset due to long distance relationship...

This situation is not a big excuse for expedite but you can try .....

Yes i would've definitely give it a try. It doesn't hurt to try, My husband lives in Karachi as well we already got his interview date for next month otherwise i would've definitely tried as well. Good luck hopefully you get approved soon.

My fiance is under a specific and credible death threat in Pakistan and the police won't do anything about it. I submitted an expedite request to USCIS and they wouldn't even read it. They sent back a letter that basically said, 'we get so many of these - we're denying yours'!

Then I asked my senator's office if they could submit it. They did and they got the same response. So, I have a feeling no one is getting anywhere with these expedite requests.
