I-864 Packet Checklist help!

Hello all!!!

we are finally getting ready to send our I-864 packet in!!! (Our DS-260 is already finished online.)

Can somebody help me see if we have everything we need and in the correct order?

Here is what I have:

Document Cover Sheet (It's been a while, but it's the one that was printed when we paid the AOS fees?)

Cover letter (Not written yet. Are there good examples online?)

I-864 forms

Tax transcripts for past 3 years

Bank statements

Documents to show domicile is still in US

I-864A forms for my mother

Tax transcripts for past 3 years (mother)

How does that look? Am I missing anything???

As far as the Cover letter, there is an example cover letter if you go to the Wikis. Select the NVC Wiki and inside there is a link to Saylin's NVC Wiki help. There are several cover letter examples imbedded in the valuable and useful information.

When I'm at this stage I will also include:

-A letter from employer stating my current wage

-Pay Stubs showing my current pay

I live in Japan (12 years) and my current job won't apply to living in the US.

It looks good but add your mother's proof of citizenship (passport) or permanent residence card....I suppose she is your joint sponsor

If your mother is acting as a joint sponsor, she would need to complete an I-864, not an I-864A.

We wanted to use my mothers assets to meet the requirement. Isn't that just the I-864A?

When I researched that,!it seemed to be correct, is it not? Should she be a full on sponsor?

OK! I see my error now! She does need a I-864!!! Phew!!! You guys saved me!!!

I have some questions about that too... I'll start a new thread!

The checklist was ok though other than that. right?]
