here's another question i'll ask then...

i've never changed my permanent address with the post office....officially, when i've moved a few times. i've always kept it my parents address. even to this day. do i have to include all places i've had leases at anyway?

Going back to your previous question, it says on the G325A to put in your last address outside the U.S. for more than a year. So maybe you don't need to include it?

The G325A instructions ask for your residence for the last 5 years, I would say use your judgment on that.

It does say to include addresses for more than a year... but it also says the last addresses of residence for the past five years. i figured it would be regardless of where you were. and i was in london for five months during the last five years.

im so confused about this. and whether to put apartments i've rented but never officially changed my permanent address with the usps. ugh what to do

For the 5 months in London, I think you can treat is as 'just visiting' and put your parents address for that time period. If you have the rest of the addresses just put in were you resided. If they were apartments that you rented put those in cause they have those on your financial record somewhere.

I don't know if this applies for Visas, probably does, but if you apply for a job that requires some sort of clearance they check those addresses to see if you had some sort of criminal background there or financial problems and stuff.

i've always wondered what they check in background checks. i had one recently for a job i applied to (and got, whew) ;)

i don't know if i can get the rest of the addresses........i have them written no where for sure. my only hope is my old roommate. ugh.

When you apply for apartments you list the previous places you rented right? Maybe you can find one of those apartment applications? Dig it up once, the best you can do, then keep the sheet somewhere, cause I find I always end up needing this list in the future. So once you got them you nerver again have to fret about it.

Letters, Old Bills, you have any of those? Or maybe you can call the apartments where you lived and see if they have a record of you? I don't know thats about all I can think of. I suppose you can put your parents address for some but hopefully it was in driving distance to where you worked during that time.

Well you said you knew the address in London except for the number, thats ok I guess, it was only 5 months anyway, not long enough to build up a criminal record right?:lol:

it definitely is long enough.... but for me, i was a good girl. i swear. :innocent:

Well ok I believe ya  That should work just fine, if you're not sure about something you can always put an exrta page in, like somebody said, just explaining that you're not sure of whatever it is.

Good luck with it!
