does a 'case complete' mean AOS is approved?

I know that a case complete pretty much means that the everything is "accepted," and it is forwarded to the embassy for the interview and the final determination.

My question is, for the AOS, does that mean that the finances are also sufficient? Has the NVC already checked that I am considered 'financially stable' to support my wife, or will the consular still have a say in this?

If you are in CR-IR1 and got the case complete it means the affidavit of support was accepted by the NVC. Yes it means the financial docs are sufficient UNLESS they request another financial document on the P4 that you will receive through email that your wife needs to bring on the day of her interview.

No case compete doesn't mean your documents are being sent to embassy for interview. You are now placed in the interview queue and NVC will schedule your interview.

NVC is a document intake facility as they accept your documents and yes the CO gets final say.

Every embassy is different and NVC really only cares about current nothing more. The CO depending on embassy may not be so lenient.
